Dr. Joseph Alan Halpern, MD

My Cardiologist referred me to Dr. Halpern when my GP went Concierge. He is so detailed and took the time to review my history and insisted on getting me up to date on shots. He never rushes me and I feel as if he is focused on my care not the clock.

I've been blessed with some great doctors during my 71 years--31 of which were in the Navy. But Dr. Halpern has to be one of the best. I have never had a doctor spend so much time with me and get to know me. He keeps meticulous notes and refers to them on each visit. He explains things extremely well and is engaged. I couldn't be more pleased. When you go to him for a check up, he literally goes from head to toe. And when you depart his office, you feel confident in what he has explained to you. More importantly, you walk away feeling that this doctor really cares about you.

He is more interested in himself than his patient. I found him accusing and shallow. I'm in process of looking for new doctor

Dr. Halpern took his time and answered my questions. I highly recommend him.

We found this physician to be very caring and thorough. He spent at least 30 minutes reviewing symptoms and history and made very pertinent observations suggesting a disorder that countless specialists we have been referred have not mentioned or even considered. We are following his advice and hopefully will have a diagnosis for disabling symptoms that have gone on for over a year. Thank you Dr. Halpern for taking time to LISTEN. We need more physicians like him.

Totally in his own world - doesn't listen at all - repeats the same assumptions and opinions over and over even though you told him facts that contradict. If we're ever in the ER again, we'll request another doctor.

Came on shift and chatted it up for 15 minutes about his child's education fund, taxes, his boat, all in an open ER so all the patients waiting to be seen could hear. No, I like visiting the ER. Take your time. When he finally came in, his line of questioning demonstrated his ignorance of my problem.

Went to ER with numbness in left side of face and fingers, had been there previous week with arrthymias. This doctor told me there was nothing wrong with me! Shouldn't be long before this guy has many lawsuits against him!
