I have been a patient of Dr. Hanna for a long time. He listens he cares he does everything in his power for a solution to your problems,your conditions.I am very very saddened to hear of him leaving but happy for him and his family . Thank you for everything Dr. Hanna will miss you. KAREN BROWN

Never before have I met with a physician more thoroughly caring and concerned with an individuals needs. My brother in law suffered a stroke that put him in Dr. Hanna's care. His knowledge, care and patience with the entire family's fears, questions and concerns for Patrick's well being were all cooled and calmed professionally and clearly. With the relief we all found in his amazing knowledge and professionalism (and his gifted sense of humor) kept us all positive and smiling. Patrick has returned in great health to his position as president of Dr Joseph Hanna saving his life and our hearts! ??

[[[Dr.Hanna is the poorest excuse for a neurologisy I have ever observed. Accompanying my sister to her visit, I found tht he dismissed her concerns and avoided exploring her problem with lightheadedness and ataxia. He stated he has seen "many dizzies" and would not consider sending her for testing such as CT, MRI to discover the definite diagnosis, He had one offering, "get a balance ball, take a Tai Chi class". Mind you she is 79 yrs. young and this issue has been increasing. She has a previous history of breast cancer, thyroid isssues, loss of her senses of taste and smell.. and he dimissed her concerns.]]] Having trained and worked alongside Dr. Hanna, I can state unequivocally that he is one of the very few people on this Earth that I would entrust in full confidence the medical care of my brain. He is markedly well-read RE: the current medical literature and then some. Dr Hannah is a joy to work with, spends time with patients, medical students, and residents. Furthermore, he… is an extraordinary clinical neurological instructor who makes the high-speed tempo of learning inpatient Neurology fun and also encourages some of the braver residents to hold on to the Neurology pager which essentially places that individual in charge of all inpatient Neuro consults - a true test of maintaining clinical composure, if there were such a test. Dr. Hanna has been my go to Neurologist for near 15 years, and I am not easy on rating physicians, so this is not a one visit quasi-rating which are unfair to any doctor. I know him and can tell you without any hesitation that if you need one of the top Neurologists in the country and if you seek a doctor with compassion and a thorough exam with a diagnosis that you can take to the bank, then treat yourself to a Neurologist that's kind and compassionate and takes on the toughest conditions and cases on a daily basis with a knowledge base that that cannot be matched in Northern Ohio then here is your 5 star doctor and really question the wrong diagnosis evaluation by another reviewer. That does not happen with this doctor.

He was more concernd about the number of years between my sister and I . Needless to say, my sister felt written off, dismissed with nothing more than being told she has a balance issue related to her ears...Whatever happened to diagnostic testing especially with her history. She can no more sit and balance on a ball then stand on her head. He also dismissed her back pain which was… site specific and at times radiates down her leg. I am her sister, I am also a nurse, this man did nothing to help my sister... He instead added to her frustration and my sincere belief that physicians who treat pts. this way should hang it up.... I do hope this gets looked into as I will pursue it.....

Dr. hanna, is a nice man. He selectivley follows up on tests results. He didn't in my case. He overly cautious, puts himself first and other doctors. before the patients. His care only goes so far. lets treatable conditions go un-attended. If he or another dr botches, he will invest all his time so patient doen't get care so gets away with errors rather then be honest that he messed up.

I love my husband's doctor. He has been very caring and professional and he has a broad knowledge. He has been extraordinary pleasant person and helpful.
