Dr. Joseph Kim Harris

Dr, Harris has taken care of me for several years and has been nothing but excellent! Great bedside manner, takes his time explain your problem and takes his time to be sure you have no other questions. His staff is very helpful with appointments and his nurse is just sweet!

Dr. J. Kim Harris discounted me and my STBI 25 years ago. He took an oath to do no harm, but he did. He looked into my eyes and laughed at me when my P.C. doctor had sent me to him because of an irregular Neurological Exam. Dr. J. Kim Harris knew of my STBI, but instead of acting like a doctor he made fun of me. Fast forward to my being sent to the to JW's Neurological floor because of an concussion and he bullies me and breaks the Hippa Laws. This doctor neglected to treat me or my concussion. He doesn't do what Neurologist are suppose to do, and he covered it up. I believe he got away with neglect and harassment.

Shouldn't be left alone with women who have a brain injuries

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Harris. I have been fighting vertigo for a year & a half, going from doctor to doctor...my primary, physical therapists, & an ENT/vertigo specialist, with no real answers. I was feeling like a crazy, old hypocondriac, until today. Dr. Harris is the first doctor who really took the time to listen to me, to ask me questions & answer mine (including showing me models of the brain & the skull to help explain what he was saying). I felt important to him, & truly "heard" for the first time. I will be going back to him, & would definitely recommend him whole-heartedly.

Dr Harris and his staff have treated me in ways of professional, kindness, courtesy and expertise. I only have a few favorite Drs.He and Chris are in my favs! All the staff listen and help! Dr Harris asks, listens and answers my questions, even if it means he has to provide me with more info and knowledge to fully understand what’s going on. He keeps up with new treatments and informs me of them. I’ve been going there a long time and have no plans of switching ever. I will always recommend Dr. Harris’s office.

after moving to virginia from Oklahoma I was very pleased with dr harris. he actually asked what I considered to be pertinent questions and was interested not in just my neurological issues but also my general health. ie exercise, diet, etc. it has been a long time since a dr gave me more than 15 minutes of his/her time.

Doctor Harris is a great person he listens and answer all question and the big thing is he takes time with you and doesn't rush you out the door and iam a vietnam vet.and when someone take time with you it's a good thing hope to be with him for a long time.

Dr. Harris was on call at Chippenham after my brother was hospitalized for a fall. He explained that the incident was actually caused by a stroke, which horrified me because I felt I should have recognized the symptoms. He reassured me that I had done the best I could absent obvious stroke symptoms such a paralysis.

I have been totally ignored and brutalized by Dr. Joseph Kim Harris's Nurse Chris. Just so you know, Dr. Harris is a wonderful doctor with a great bedside manner, this is just a reflection on Nurse Chris. I can not understand how she can actually hold a job while completely putting me in a deadly situation by ignoring my calls for 2 1/2 weeks to start, then completely snubbed me when she finally did call. I am or was on a very high dose opioid medication and let her know well in advance that I was running into an insurance issue and they were no longer going to cover my medication. The 1st call was he's not changing the medication. No explanation, nothing. No help on withdrawals, just go puke your guts out and hope you don't die. Ok those words are my own, but that is what I was left with. NO HELP! The next call I get wasn't from Chris! I guess she couldn't handle my tears! The office manager who was just trying to be nice, bless her heart, all she could do was say the same that they… weren't able to change my meds and sorry she didn't know anything else but that she would do her best to get a better answer to help me. Then today I get a call saying that my insurance doesn't cover me anymore. Guess what lady! I left a message almost a month ago now, that my insurance had changed! Just proving my point that Chris didn't even bother to listen to the messages. Don't trust her, only trust Dr. Harris.

I travel about 45 minutes to see Dr. Harris. He is friendly, puts you at ease, treats you as if you have a brain. Explains problem and what your options are.
