Joseph R. Hendrick, Jr. DDS, PA. has been treating patients in Shelby, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas since 1985. He has been at his current location since 1987, where he practiced alongside Dr. Bob Litton until his retirement in May of 1992.

Dr. Hendrick is actively involved in the dental community. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Isothermal Dental Society, having served as Treasurer, Vice-President and President. He was a charter member of the Piedmont Dental Forum. Dr. Hendrick is involved in church and community activities as well. He has served on the American Cancer Society Board and Advisory Board for the Salvation Army. He has served as a Board Member of First Charter Bank. As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Shelby, he served as Board Member, Officer and President. In church, he served as a Church Council Member and a Member of the Church Financial Committee, overhauling and streamlining budgeting processes.
When Dr. Hendrick is not treating patients or dealing with other challenges of the dental world, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his two children—Katherine and Joseph. Other activities and hobbies include sports (go Heels), sports cars, entertainment and a special interest in historic military aircraft and aviation.
