Dr. Joseph Idicula, MD

Although I think Dr Joe is the best cardiologist ever, I cannot stand his office staff. They are rude and incompetent. They repeatedly book appointments for you and then call you at the very last minute of the day of your appointment to reschedule you or sometimes they don’t even remember to call you at all and you show up and find out that Dr. Joe took a last-minute vacation. I understand he’s getting ready to retire but that is no way to run an office. I requested to be seen by Dr. Joseph, the new cardiologist at his practice, but because I was previously a patient of Dr. Joe’s, they would not allow me to see Dr Joseph. I moved out of state for a couple of years and recently returned to Florida and I said I would be more than willing to see Dr. Joe As he is a very good doctor and was simply requesting Dr Joseph because of Dr Joe’s pending retirement. They told me that Dr. Joe declined to take me back as a patient and I was not allowed to see the other doctor. This is a ridiculous… way to run an office and gives a patient no confidence whatsoever. This is not the first run in I have had with the office staff as I previously cared for a handicapped gentleman and this office treated him like garbage. They also send out multiple letters weekly to patients dropping them as patients with no notice because if they don’t like something you say or a question you ask they do not want you in their office.

i’ve been going to Dr. Idicula for several years and find him to be excellent. He’s very easy to understand and has a lot of compassion and concern for his patience. After the death of my husband, Dr. Idicula took the time to write me a note expressing his sympathy and prayers.

I agree with the reviewer who mentioned that Dr. Idicula doesn't have a good command of the English language and doesn't give patients ample time during office appts. In my case, after a long wait to see him, I was greeted by the wrong name--not a good beginning. Do not offer him or his staff "constructive criticism" or you may receive a "physician withdrawal" letter in the mail which I did. When I followed up with Scott, the office manager, as to whether Dr. Idicula could call me to explain the reason why, I was told he would not return a phone call. I was already planning to find another cardiologist before my final appt. but his attitude which also spills over to his staff members is not something that I'm comfortable with. Follow my advice and pick another cardiologist in the area.

Very difficult to understand, and appears to struggle with the English Language explain things. Does not spend too much time with patient. Would not recommend. He mentioned I had heart issues and insisted on a stress tress. After the testing ect, it was discovered absolutely noting was wrong. Yes better to be safe then sorry, but felt I was taken thru unneeded expense which appears to be part of the game these days.

Dr Joe has taken care of my mom for years, and has always worked hard to provide whatever treatment is appropriate and best for her personally. When she needed a new aortic valve, he helped me find where to go to get her into a study for the valve to be replaced thru the femoral artery via catheter to avoid open heart. He is always easily available to talk to, and has made it clear for her to contact his office and he fits her in when needed. He treats my mom as if she were his own, and I know she would not be alive today or living on her own, enjoying life, if not for him and his wonderful office staff.

Excellent doctor well versed in the treatment of disease and has an excellent relationship with his patients. He takes time to explain things that you need to know. He is well known in the area and his referrals are always to top notch physicians in their respective fields. His office staff is always professional and helpful. The entire office is full of people who know their jobs and who are happy and helpful to everyone.

This medical facility has an incredible positive spirit with each person as dedicated as the doctors. The detailed attentiveness, concern and care for the entire wellbeing of the patient is by far the best I have experienced. The brilliant and intuitive communication among all doctors and staff is rare.

He is excellent doctor I have ever met...understand and explains brilliantly...he is very friendly with all....he is my god father...I trust him...thanks for everything Sir.. :)

Dr. Joe is one of the most considerate, caring and knowledgeable cardiologists.. He has a wonderful personality and bedside manner. We would recommend him to anyone. God bless Dr. Joe.
