Dr. Joseph Anthony Jurand, MD

He is concerned about one facet Money! He will place you on medication that are purposely made to cause dependency then if you do not keep up to his expensive and forced on council and keep your bill paid he will threaten to not prescribe or refill until you please his payments, thus getting you dependent, to have something to always have over you! With his “Past” makes me think why he needs the money to afford his on going charges and lawyer fees!

I was a patient of Dr Jurand for about five years. He saved my life.I will always be grateful for his wisdom, compassion and professionalism. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Jurand charges $150 for 5 min phone calls. He is not a good listener. I’ve been in treatment for 10 years. He was the worst and most expensive Dr. I’ve ever encountered.

Dr. Jurand has been my psychiatrist for several years on and off. He's been nothing short of professional, caring, and he gives you exactly what you need to get better. He takes his time with his patients and makes sure you're comfortable with your care. He doesn't rush you out the door and he even has appointments outside with you if you're not comfortable in an office setting. Now how many Doctors do that? People are quick to pass judgement, but everyone has a past...yes even professionals. I would recommend him to anyone and I'd still be seeing him monthly if my insurance were covered at his office.

I was a runaway. It was in the 1980s. He helped me and guided me. He gave me books to read. He pushed me in a positive way to get my GED and go to college. He was always professional and concerned. When I tried to check out and landed in the hospital. He was there. Highly recommend.

He's a bad therapist and a bad person. Please respect yourself and go elsewhere.

He made me feel very uncomfortable during several consultations. He made several comments regarding my physical appearance which left me uneasy. I eventually had my boyfriend (at the time maybe 2012) come with me to every appointment. I ultimately stopped seeing the Doctor because my symptoms only got worse. He constantly pumped me with different drugs, nothing seemed gradual. henjust added more scripts and upped my dosages. I told my therapist I was feeling uncomfortable both with the behavior and the medication management. She referred me to a new doctor in the same office who I have been seeing ever since. turns out that Jurand had me on very high doses of several anti-psychotics that should not have been mixed together. I was BECOMING psychotic!! Since switching to my new doctor I have transitoned to a RX regimine that has kept me stable.
