Dr. Joseph Kagan, MD

He is a very compassionate doctor, takes the time to really listen and talks to you calmly explaining things and treatments with patience and knowledgeably. He has become our family doctor and a friend

Excellent in diagnosis, time with patient and follow up.

Wait time is way too long. Over an hour wait for a scheduled physical.

I have been going to Dr. Kagan for 40 years, and I would not want another doctor in my lifetime. There are times you might have to wait once you are in the room but I'm sure he is giving everyone as much time as the patient before you. We can't always get what we want from the Rolling Stones Concert. I think he is the best Doctor I have seen over the years. Consistent, Great bedside manner, answers questions & will tell you why if you don't want to take a certain medication for your own good health, & is very compassionate for issues going on in your life!

Several weeks ago I took my mother to Dr Kagan for an appointment. After nearly a TWO hr wait we left the office without seeing the Dr AT ALL. This is disgraceful and happens almost every time we have been there. You get stuck between waiting or rescheduling which would surely entail the same type of wait. AFter being a patient in this practice for many years, my mother was the one who chose to leave out of frustration What kind of person leaves an 82 year old women waiting 2 hrs for an appointment. I cant believe the man is able to keep any patients at all. While he may be pleasant enough once you see him he is totally disrespectful of anyone's time. I am just thankful that my doctor's office is much more considerate, punctual and courteous than this!

I have never had an appointment with this Dr when the wait time was less than 45min. Even if I am the first appt. Dr Kagan is never in the bldg when I arrive. While his nurses are polite, his front desk staff doesnt even lift a head to acknowledge the patients presence. Upon leaving my last visit the front desk person requested my copayment without even turning around. Dr Kagan does show genuine concern during the appt. time but is very negligent in keeping appt times current. His recent addition of a PA was a mistake although he needs the help...this lady is too busy talking about herself to listen to the patient.

As a formal medical rep, I saw the inner workings of offices and doctors (real personalities). While no office or doctor is perfect, some are considered BEST. Dr. Kagan is a BEST doctor. If you do have to wait, it's because he spends the time to diagnose and treat his patients, everyone get's great treatment. BEST doctors have longer wait times for a reason. Dr. Kagan has been my PCP for 10 years and my hope is to keep him for another 10. Great docs are not easy to find, I found mine.

Dr Kagan is an excellent,caring,extremely well educated physcian. My biggest problem is with his secretarial staff, she is not qualified. The nurses are fine, the secretary, is the only one in the office that is out of place.
