Dr. Joseph Richard Karam, MD

Exceptional, kind, humble, highly knowledgeable surgeon who I would HIGHLY recommend. He is very thorough, detailed in explaining my pre-op concerns. Dr. Karam contacted me post-op to check on my condition as well. He was accessible before and after my surgery. I trust him and would go back if I needed a surgeon in the future.

Dr. Karam is a highly skilled and compassionate surgeon. He was very thorough in diagnosing my condition and explained in detail what needed to be done surgically. He answered all of my questions, as well as my husband's, in a very straightforward and clear manner. Dr. Karam and his staff are courteous and prompt, and I feel very fortunate to have been referred to his practice!

Genius. I am so grateful for the skill and compassion for the wonderful care imparted by this wonder man and surgeon. Both my wife and I have been helped by Dr. Karem's skill and knowledge.

Dr. Karam was very detailed in explaining the procedure and the recovery. He listened attentively to my concerns and answered all my questions. He called back right away after I had surgery to answer some concerns I had. The office staff is really nice and respectful as well. I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and relatives. Dr. Karam’s staff squeezed my daughter’s surgery in on a Friday so she could have relief and get answers. He met with her daily after an unexpected admission to Methodist and always had up to date information as we saw the hospitalist much later in the day. He advocated for her needs while there and gave us peace of mind that a great group of doctors were working behind the scenes to see to her needs. He went above and beyond and gave us faith that she was well taken care of.

Would never recommend Dr. Karam. Not the type of person I would refer my friends to. There are too many doctors out there, don’t settle.

Recently got a phone call from Dr. Karam office on a follow up appointment, wasnt going to make it and the girl who called said in reply, were glad you canceled!. Typical racist remark, or hate speech? You decide.....

Unfortunately, my experience wasn't a pleasant one. Seemed as if once I paid my up front bill things changed, couldn't get any one to help me with questions and concerns on my pain after my surgery. As if once they got theres I was on my own.i was no longer a concern.. Talked to Dr.karam to try to voice my concerns but he just brushed me off like some unimportant issue. Just cause a patient voices concern you don't agree with doesn't make you right Dr. Or give you the right to ignore patients pain and suffering. Loss of work is vital to families. Maybe not to you. Hope every takes time to ask more questions about after surgery care from this post. I'm sure from now on it will be different. Unfortunately someone has to suffer before things get done right. I found Dr. Joseph Karam online he had the best reviews and when I made my first appointment he was very attentive. He sat down and took the time to talk to me about my options. He really cares about his patients, when I arrived at the hospital for surgery he was very friendly and made me feel like I was in good hands. I know he could tell I was nervous and made a few jokes to get me to laugh. Let's just say I would recommend him to everyone.
