Dr. Joseph A Kingsbury, DO

Dr Kingsbury is a liability to his profession. Despite knowing the basic wishes of his birthing patient he tried every tactic to not let her jave a natural birth. Knowing it was a priority to keep the umbilical cord attached for an extended period of time during skin to skin he said ‘we don’t do that’ and clamped the cord in less than 60 seconds without cause. Baby was denied up to 30% of its blood because of his negligence and created a very contentious and argumentative environment during one of the most important moments of the parent’s lives. If you feel you are entitled to have any say in the delivery of your child then stay far far away from this disgraceful doctor.

If I could give zero stars I would. Dr.. Kingsbury and his entire office staff were miserable to work with. Due to a sudden insurance change I was unable to really shop around for a provider with my first pregnancy, and I had to switch from a prior OBGYN. This office wanted to give me a pap smear even though I had already had one at my old office four months prior. They seem money hungry and completely ignore the requests of the patient. I wanted a very non-invasive pregnancy without checks and Dr. Kingsbury walked into the room, stood over me and was very harsh telling me, "you dont know whats best for you and your baby, I do." I am shocked that he has worked his entire career with women as he is obviously misogynistic and his demeanor is off-putting. My husband was out of the room for that interaction and as soon as my husband came back into the room, his whole demeanor changed. This makes me worried for any women that has to attend an appointment without a partner. Not only that,… but I refused STD testing in my first trimester (because I had already had it done four months prior at my old office and was not concerned) and when I asked why he was so adamant about this he lied to me and said they needed to test for GBS which I later found out was a test they only do late in the third trimester. He seemed very annoyed that I wanted to do minimal testing and completely disregarded my wishes as a patient. Also, his entire front office (besides the scheduling lady) was completely miserable to work with. The two girls up front will talk over you and cut you off on the phone and they act as if the patient has no idea how things work. They literally made me come up to the office and show them a tangible E.O.B. because they didnt believe me that they had billed a service wrong. So I had to leave in the middle of my work day to prove to them that they in fact did make a mistake. They were infuriating to work with and completely incompetent. The billing lady is never in office and her line always goes to voicemail and then she never will return your calls. If you are looking for an open-minded, competent, friendly doctors office, look elsewhere, because this just isnt it.

Dr.Kingsbury is the only reason me and my daughter are alive and well. I transferred to him with major complications when my previous OB was dismissing all my symptoms, not taking me seriously and ignoring my attempts to reach him. I had severe hyperemesis during my pregnancy and went months trying to figure out a way to keep food and water down. Dr. Kingsbury worked with me, did everything he could and was finally able to get me on a medication regimen that allowed me to eat and drink. He also caught the fact that I developed hypertension in my pregnancy and that my daughter was small for her gestational age. He had me monitored several times a week in the MFM clinic to make sure my daughter was okay. Which is the reason we found out just before 36 weeks that she didn't have enough amniotic fluid and decided I needed to be induced. I had my daughter a month early and she needed to spend the first 2 weeks in the NICU. Dr. Kingsbury was kind, compassionate, understanding and… didn't try to sugar coat things throughout my entire pregnancy. I really appreciate his honesty and realistic bedside manner. He has a dry sense of humor that many people don't get right away so they think he is rude or cold. I can promise you that is the farthest thing from the truth. He visited me every day I was in the hospital and my daughter in the NICU just to make sure we were okay. He is the best OB/GYN I have ever had and I have had many. I have endometriosis and PCOS so even when I'm not pregnant I am frequently see them. I am going to stay with Dr. Kingsbury for as long as he practices. A lot of doctors dismissed my pain or thought I was being overdramatic about my hyperemesis symptoms. Dr. Kingsbury was the only one who could see right away that I wasn't exaggerating and needed serious medical intervention. If you have a high risk pregnancy I highly recommend him. Also, if you appreciate a doctor who will tell you what is most likely going to happen or be best for you and not just list statistics and give you generalizations that sound like a script written and preapproved by the hospitals lawyers as to not upset anyone, pick him. He is the most real and honest doctor I have been to in a long time.

You know... Dr. Kingsbury delivered my first son via c section. My regular ob had her baby the day before me. I had a really hard time with Dr. Kingsbury as I felt his bedside manner was horrible. My first labor and delivery had been ruined. When I had my 2nd child made my ob swear not to let him near me. Then intended up needing a hysterectomy. I was terrified because it was going to be done by Dr. Kingsbury. You know what? My experience was wonderful! He did an amazing job with my surgery and all my follow up appointments went wonderful too. He was very attentive and listened to and answered all my questions and was really nice. I actually think I've decided that I prefer him over my regular obgyn now and hope to be able to switch over to his care in the future. I was really glad I gave him another chance. Perhaps he is human and has bad days like the rest of us. Who knew?!

Absolutely horrible! They way he talks to his patients & belittles them. I couldn't believe the things that came out of his mouth as he was talking to my daughter. SOOO unprofessional it's appalling! Never in my 40+ years have i EVER seen such disgusting behavior from someone in the medical field. And i work in the medical field. Save your time and find another OB. Not to mention he half-assed treated my daughter on her appointments and had a very rude demeanor. She's a week away from delivering & switched Dr's because he made her cry YET again

I know if I said what really happened, this site would NOT publish it. All I can say, is find an exit, and RUN-DON'T Walk!! LEAVE THIS OFFICE AND DR. BEHIND WHILE YOU CAN!!!

scanned my brain and lungs while I was having signs of ectopic pregnancy and waited 3 weeks to treat me then he doesn’t admit any fault. Doesn’t make any sense. Almost died and had harsh surgery because he didn’t read the results of imaging showing I had a mass and internal bleeding 3 weeks prior to giving me chemo.

I absolutely adore Dr. Kingsbury. He always takes excellent care of me. He truly cares for his patients, before, during and after treatment, and is an excellent surgeon. He goes so far above and beyond first his patients, I truly wish more doctors were like Dr. Kingsbury. I have said multiple times that I wish he could be my primary care physician... I'm having a hard time finding a PCP, as Dr. Kingsbury has set some high expectations that nobody else can seem to reach.

I love Dr. Kingsbury! I had a c-section with my daughter (not by Dr. Kingsbury) and I knew that I wanted to VBAC! I was tried to Dr. Kingsbury by my family doctor and couldn't be happier! He was really on board with my wanting to VBAC. He was very supportive and tasked over all my options. He really worked with me to get the delivery that I wanted!
