Dr. Joseph Adam Kurth, MD

He doesn't listen, doesn't seem to care and didn't provide me with an treatment. He only suggested if I didn't feel better I should come back and see him in a week. In the meantime, urgent care diagnosed me with strep throat later that same day of my appointment with him.

Two years ago I saw doctor Kurth for severe back pain. My injury significantly affected my ability to work and care for my children. I needed an MRI to determine what the damages were. In order for my insurance to cover an MRI, I would need to complete 30 days of physical therapy. Upon completion of the physical therapy I returned to Dr. Kurth. I had seen some benefits from the physical therapy, however not significant enough as it was still very much affecting my work and home life. Dr. Kurth did a physical examination, during which he had me lay back as he stretched my legs out in front of me. I YELLED out in pain. What happened next was the most absurd thing I have ever experienced. Dr. Kurth explained to me that he saw no reason for an MRI. I was experiencing significant sciatica pain and was not about to let Dr Kurth tell me I didnt need an MRI. I looked at the man sideways and told him I am the father of three young children, who I support off of just my income, and because of my… injury, I am not able to properly provide for my children. Now Dr. Kurth says ok I can see why you would want an MRI, and he scheduled one. The MRI results showed 2 herniated discs in my lower spine. One of them had an additional superimposed hernia that was resting on my sciatic nerve. Dr. Kurths office explained that I would need injections in my spine but refused to allow me to speak with a specialist so that I could make an informed decision about the procedure. This man will send you up a river with no paddle unless you feed him your sob story so that he can consider the possibility that you are a human being that genuinely needs care.

He is not very good. He lacks knowledge and communications skills. He was hesitate to answer any question and did not like to be questioned.

He does not understand medicine or how to communicate with patients. Don’t waste your time.

Dr. Kurth is not thorough and cannot solve simple problems. He clearly does not have enough experience, medical knowledge or enough “drive” to become a solid family practice physician. His staff is mediocre but not overly helpful either. Too many choice to settle for him.

Dr Kurth is a subpar health provider. He isn’t thorough, doesn’t listen or understand and seems completely clueless

Dr. Kurth is not competent. He completely lacks clinical knowledge and seems only able to send patients to other physicians. In my 6 visits in 1 year he has misdiagnosed twice and sent me to other providers 4 times. His role in healthcare is not as a primary care provider. Two specialists I saw blatantly mocked him for not being able to provide me with care, instead sending me to them for “textbook” issues they e petted him to manage. Skip! Find someone else.
