Dr. Joseph Lee grew up most of his life in Snohomish County with his parents and siblings still residing in Mukilteo.  While playing with his friends as a child, he had an accident that resulted in the loss of one of his front tooth.  As a result of this, he has undergone extensive dental work himself including tissue grafting and dental implants, along with orthodontic treatment.  There was a period in his life where he felt like he was visiting someone in the dental profession every week.
This experience is what led to Dr. Lee eventually deciding to become a dentist while attending the University of Washington.  After graduating from UW, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia.  Understanding and experiencing so much as a patient has made Dr. Lee understand the anxiety many patients feel when visiting a dental office.  In trying to create as comfortable as experience as possible, Dr. Lee is always thorough in …explaining every procedure that is done, takes his time in being as gentle as possible. 
Dr. Lee remains committed to the forefront of dental research and development continuously exceeding and participating in post graduate education.  He is an active member of several organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association, Pierce County Dental Society, Dawson Academy, and the Pankey Institute for Advanced Studies.
Dr. Lee is also an avid believer in volunteering his services.  Over the past several years, working with Medical Relief International, he has traveled to third world countries, providing dental services to many who had never seen a dentist before.
During his free time, he is a devoted Husky fan, following and watching the Huskies basketball and football teams.  However his greatest joy is in spending as much time with his daughter, Kaylin, as possible.  His daughter is his greatest accomplishment.  Seeing the world through his young daughters eye's, where climing up stairs can bring such challenge and joy, has opened up his views of the great wonders of the world we live in.
