The cardiologist I was seeing regularly at Columbia Doctors of Hudson Valley had an emergency the time and date of my appointment, I stayed and consulted with him as a substitute, and then returned a few times and saw him again because it was easier to book an appointment with him rather than my reg. cardiologist. It took me a few visists to realized that it was not to my best interest to continue seeing him, he gave medical advice that did not fit my condition for apparently he either had me confused with another patient or didn't bother to read my medical records. I had to explained several times to him on several different visits, that I had a triple bypass, and three stents. I was like a new patient to him each time I saw him. On one occasion he told me that I on a runaway train headed towards a cliff and that there was no way to stop it but that it could be slowed down with meds. and the next visit told me I was well and should return to work, then questioned if I had one, or two… stents. I had to explain, triple bypass, tree stents, thinking to myself that he was burnt out and that was the last time I would I see him
