Dr. Joseph John Licata JR., MD

My husband had a hernia operation 6 weeks ago. No bleeding, no oozing, no pain pills. All was well. Dr. Licata was referred by our cardiologist who also had an excellent experience with Dr. Licata. well worth the trip to Ramsey. We live in Toms River, NJ.

This doctor is an on call surgeon at the Valley Hospital, but he does not accept Insurance. I had an emergency surgery, after BCBS paid him as an in-network provider, I was forced to pay more. It is unethical to make money from the patients who were not able to choose doctors in emergencies.

Best surgeon around. Caring and conscientious.

I highly recommend Dr.Licata. He is first and foremost an outstanding surgeon. This was my first surgery and I was so well taken care of that my mind was completely at ease. I knew everything would be alright and it was. All my questions were answered and I felt respected and never rushed. At a time when most doctors can fail to establish honest rapport with their patients, Dr. Licata is one of a kind. He is thoroughly natural and genuine. Noone likes to hear that they need surgery,but I'm happy that I was lucky enough to have Dr.Licata and his caring staff to see me through.If you are reading this I urge you to make that call and experience true excellence.

Dr. Licata is a wonderful doctor. He tells it like it is but like someone you've known for years. And his office staff is probably the best I've experienced - helpful and nice. He's very knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon

I was sent to Dr. Licata because of a lump detected on MRI in my breast. He was so kind and helpful. His office staff was equally kind and very sweet. Well run office. It will be a long road ahead but Dr. Licata tells it like it is no sugar coating !
