A Colorado native, Dr. Joseph A. Lovato received his undergraduate degree from Regis University in Denver and his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his family medicine residency at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver. Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Lovato enjoys the variety that family medicine provides. His clinical interests include diabetes, cardiovascular disease and mental health. Dr. Lovato believes in providing the highest quality care possible to all of his patients. In his free time, Dr. Lovato enjoys spending time with his wife and children, playing golf, traveling and coaching.

I have been seeing Dr Lovato for almost 2 years now. He has a dry sense of humor, which I get.... not everyone does. He is patient, through, does not make you feel as though you are taking too much time. Explains and answers questions thoroughly, seeks to make sure I'm satisfied with my appt.

I have been a patient of Dr Lovato for several years. The reason being he truly cares about his patients! He listens and provides excellent health care! I highly recommend him!

Dr. Lavoto was the most unprofessional and flippant MD I have ever seen. While he is not my regular physician, I saw him becuase my regular MD was out that week and I felt that my symptoms were urgent enough to go ahead and see him. I won't get into details, but he walked in the room -- never meeting me before -- without a chart. He asked what I was there for and I told him. He and basically said to me"consider that you have uterine cancer until we find out otherwise." No kidding -- exact words. He handed me a sheet of referrals and told me to to to an OB/GYN. This was on a Friday afternoon, so I had to worry about his statement all weekend. Horrible, horrible bedside manner -- or just even human manner in general.

I have never seen such unprofessional behavior from someone in the medical field as I saw today. I questioned why I was being charged a copay for coming in to review test results from a physical two days ago and was told to go find a new doctor. Really, I'm not making this up. He came in said he heard I was angry, handed me my test results, and then told me to go find a new doctor. Please, if you're on this site reading these reviews to determine if you want to see this doctor, keep looking! You'll be very glad you did! Read some of the other reviews. I just realized "Bedside Manner" is a rating. Trust me, if there was a way to give a negative rating in this category, I'd gladly do that. It's very well deserved.

I AM REALLY WONDERING HOW YOU DR LOVATO STILL HAVE A PRACTICE! MY HUSBAND IS A PT OF YOURS AND HAS GONE TO YOU FOR HELP REGARDING HIS BACK LIKE THE WOMAN MENTIONED IN HER COMMENTS REGARDING TREATMENT YES YOU TREATED HIM LIKE HE WAS DRUG SEEKING.OF COURSE WE DEFINETLY DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO A DR FOR DRUGS IF THAT WAS THE CASE! YOU WALKED IN THE ROOM AND SEEN HIM AND SAID OH YOU AGAIN I WILL GET YOU SOME PAIN MEDS!!!! I WAS SO SURPRISED LITTLE DID YOU KNOW HE NEEDED SURGERY IF YOU WOULD BE DOING YOUR JOB AS A DR YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT.AND I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT YOU.I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW DR FOR MY HUSBAND YOU ARE AS SORRY AS CAN BE FOR A DR.

Didn't do anything except listen to my symtoms. No tests ran of any sort. Told me I needed a specialist without even knowing really what was going on.
