Dr. Joseph Andrew Mather, MD

Dr. Joe has been our primary care doctor for our family of five for several years. He has helped to diagnose and treat serious and unexpected illnesses that were complex and stressful to deal with. My youngest child suffered from Intestinal parasites, dysbiosis and stunted growth. Other family members suffered from chronic health problems that stemmed from immune system weakness and vitamin deficiencies. Through testing, herbal medications and vitamin supplementation , we were able to improve our health and conditions. The care and attention that he gives to his patients is unmatched. Having given birth to all three of my children at home with a midwife, I never cared for doctors, but Dr. Joe has proven time and again to be a “true” medical professional that is dedicated to serving the patient and making them well.

I was a patient of Dr. Mathers for a few months. During that time he tested my thyroid which showed thyroid antibodies (hyperthyroid symptom) which he dismissed. Seems kind of strange to dismiss that when I told him I had a swollen thyroid months prior (hyperthyroid symptom). Not only that I went to the emergency room with heart palpitations (hyperthyroid symptom) and that should have rung a bell in his empty head but it didn’t... Now less than a year later I have a full blown hyperthyroid autoimmune condition. That I attribute to serious negligence and egotistical thinking on Dr. Mathers part. Had he recognized the symptoms I might not be with this condition now. We could have taken preventative measures. I would put Dr. Mathers in the same category as the gynecologist who told my Mom on a number of occasions to stop giving herself self breast examinations when she felt a lump in her breast. Only to find out months later she had stage 4 cancer. Yes, Dr. Mather is now… in that category of negligence. I expected a lot more and so should you, take the warning signs that appear in your health seriously and find a Dr. that will also take the warning signs seriously. Your health is in your hands.
