I have been to Dr McMullen for many differant procedures , every visit is on time . He takes his time to figure out the best way to handle what I need. He is very gentle . Not only do I go to him , I have had both my children have their wisdom teeth extracted. Great office staff as well

Dr. Joseph R. McMullen has been practicing for 34 years. Our daughter just had her wisdom teeth out. We found out that the procedure would be covered under our medical insurance not our dental insurance. The front desk girl did her job professionally and we knew how much the total procedure costs would be and that we would need to pay half up front the day of surgery. Dr. McMullen took his time during our consult appt. explained everything to us, answered questions, was very calm and reassuring. He is ACLS and PALS certified. Talked to our daughter and treated her with respect. The day of surgery, more excellent care by friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff. "Kim" checked her into the surgery room and explained everything again, we signed the consent and then met with Dr. McMullen to be sure there were no other questions we had. Dr. McMullen and Kim took excellent care of our child, and in 45 minutes we were taken into the recovery room where our child was awake and… alert. No grogginess, no nausea. We were given home discharge instructions and sent on our way. About 3 hours later our daughter was in a great deal of pain. I called and was given orders for use of pain meds for her. That evening Dr. McMullen called our home to check on our daughter! He truly cares for his patients, and it shows. If you need an oral surgeon, We HIGHLY recommend Dr. McMullen!!!

referred by my dentist to have wisdom tooth extracted.I explained to staff I must know how much my insurance covers and what my costs would be before I could do procedure.3 times they tried to get me to have work done before my costs were known. They tried to upsell me on laughing gas,sedation all which was not covered.Finially did procedure because they had sent pre authorization lettter to my insurance and told me it could take 6-10 weeks to return. The same night my insurance responded to me they called (During the day) and I agreed to do procedure not knowing my answers where in my mailbox. They are not even in my network of dentist and I will have to pay more! When I told office staff how I was upset because they didn't bother to check my insurance they told me it was my responsibility.Then they tried to upsell the laughing gas and/or sedation again. What a bunch of phony money hungry people... Procedure was quick and done well but beware and use other providers and don't pay… twice as much as you should. P.S did I mention they found the pre insurance authorization while I was there, I wonder why they didn't tell me about it, tell I asked? And when did they recieve or know they weren't covered under my network?
