Will not explain his treatment ideas no followup

His office is very rude, no follow up, never return calls, no pro activeness from doctor to let patient know about results or anything. i saw dr meachem for about two years. two annual checkup but i am left highly unsatisfied.

Dr. Meacham took his time to explain my test results. He asked questions and actually listened to my answers. Nice to feel like the Dr cares, not just pushing through patients.

Appreciate his candor and follow up.

Best physician in the practice. I have seen others and I was referred to Dr. Meacham. He spent time with me and explained what I needed to do in simple and easy to understand details.

This place is a mess. Upon arrival at the front desk, the receptionist shouted at me that I needed to change my PCP if I wanted to see the doctor; I informed them they were incorrect, not sure why that would even be an issue. I told them I was there to see him as a specialist, and they verified with my insurance (never had this happen anywhere else). As she was handing me my paper work, another lady shouted "you're hear to see the doctor for a cough? He's a heart doctor, you know that don't you? He can't help you for your cough." Very condescending tone (due to persistant cough, it was recommended I see a heart doctor). The front desk was confused, distracted and rude all around. I should have walked out them. Upon seeing Dr. Meacham, it became painfully obvious he treats his patients as if they were cattle; in and out as fast as he can manage. He was very rude, no bedside manner whatsoever. He would ask for dates on particular events, then rush for an answer, say "come on come on,… just spit something out, it doesn't have to be exactly," while motioning his hand to hurry. If you don't adequate time for your patients, maybe you shouldn't over-book yourself. Never have I experienced this in my life, and I see a lot of doctors. From his remarks about my smoking habit (over 35 years ago!), to his comments about my deceased mother, I found him extremely crass; even a friend I brought into the room was flabbergasted, we couldn't believe his behavior. He is in an office building that has many other doctors, so I would suggest avoiding this place and going to a private practice, where you will get better care.

Direct and to the point. Finally, a doctor who took the time to explain in detail my condition and ALL my options for improvement. Great Doctor!

Straight shooter. Very knowledgable and found things other doctors had missed. I would not see any other cardiologist in Dallas.
