Dr. Joseph F Meiners, MD

Dr. Meiners is a Louisville, Ky., native. He attended St. Albert the Great grade school before graduating from Trinity High School in 1983. From there, he went to the University of Louisville and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. He received his medical degree in 1992 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. His internship and residency were done at St. Louis University Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital from 1992 to1995. Dr. Meiners received his board certification in pediatrics in 1995 and was recertified in pediatrics in 2003. He has been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1995. Dr. Meiners is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Pediatric Society, American Academy of Pediatrics and the Kentucky Medical Association.
Dr. Meiners has four children – two sons and two daughters – and is expecting his first grandchild. He is an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
When not in the office, …Dr. Meiners enjoys fishing, running, biking and attending his family's sporting events. He has a yellow lab named Daisy. He also is a beekeeper and makes his own honey.
