Dr. Joseph Carl Militello, MD

*Please read before making an appointment* Dr Militello scheduled by father for cataracts surgery in August. They did surgery on one eye and let my father know he'd have to wait a couple weeks to have surgery performed on the other eye. Weeks turned into months. My fathers vision getting worse by the day. Finally, 8 months later the doctor finally said he'd complete the surgery. My gather got a call confirming his appointment. He then received another call a couple days later letting him know the doctor retired and my fathers surgery was cancelled. They did not provide an solutions, just let him know he was out of luck. My father is now nearly blind and has to start all over. Please do not give this place your business.

Wanted to reiterate what I said before about Dr Millitello. He is kind & considerate and above all else, knows exactly what to do and does so in a timely fashion. He made me feel comfortable leading up to & including my surgery & his staff is courteous, helpful and friendly. Top notch people.You can’t find a better opthalmologist/surgeon around.

I have been seeing Dr. Miletello for several years now and have had nothing but great service. I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes and am very happy with the results. His staff is always pleasant and efficient, the facilities are clean and fresh and Dr. is very knowledgeable and straight forward.

I first was referred to Dr. Militello a few years ago by my primary physician for a chronic eye infection. Since then He has performed cataract removal on my husband and myself. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. Especially me as I had an astigmatism issue. His staff is also well informed and very helpful and experienced. The office operates like a well oiled machine with a very human touch. I would recommend them to anyone who needs eye care who would be nervous about any surgery on your eyes. Dr Militello has been treating my glaucoma for some time and I have been completely happy with his care. He gives time and attention & explains his procedures thoroughly and my condition is completely under control. He recently removed both my husband's cataracts and he now has 20/20 vision and couldn't be happier with his treatment by Dr Militello and his always efficient and and friendly helpful staff. Glad to find this talented doctor and highly recommend! Note: There is never a lengthy wait in his waiting room!

I have been a patient for several years.I was very happy with the results of my cataract surgery.After years of wearing glasses.I no longer need glasses.I am extremely happy with my vision and care from Dr Militello.When my husband started to have issues with vision.The only Dr, we considered was Dr Militello.He is very happy with his eyelid procedure and cataract procedure He was very happy with the results of both procedures.

My husband had surgery on his right eye we were not sure what the results would be. Dr. Miltello only said his sight would improve. We agreed that would be a plus. However the results were better than we could ever imagine. After being practically sightless for a year he can see and enjoy the things he used to. Losing ones sight is not a pleasant experience. Thanks to you Dr. Militello we will have a very happy holiday this year.

Dr. Militello has been my ophthalmologist since 2005. He preformed my cataract surgery and monitored the optic nerve abnormality in my left eye since I moved to Florida. Even with our move from Spring Hill to Gulfport in south Pinellas county. My wife and I both still prefer Dr. Militello. It's an 80 mi. drive ,but he is worth it.

Dr. Militello preformed my eyelid surgery and I never had one bit of pain! My lids look awesome, and I would not hesitate to ever have it done again. My eyes look wonderful and the difference in my vision is unbelieveable. What a wonderful Dr. and the staff is great!! I would highly recommend to everyone!!! You won't be sorry I promise. Karen Blaho
