Dr. Joseph Mwesige, MD

My elderly father became seriously ill with a viral infection. He was hospitalized at Robert Packer in the ICU and was not expected to survive. It was a devastating time for my mother, sister and I. Amazingly, my father did survive and there are indications he will have a remarkable recovery over time. During his move to the sixth floor, we became part of the rotation of staff hospitalists and experienced three of the physicians care, to date. Dr. Mwesige was the most caring and seemingly most interested in my father's overall care and recovery. He worked late and met with us to communicate the information regarding the condition, concerns, treatment and medications given to my father. He treated us with respect and gave my father the dignity which is so lacking in the patient experience. We were very pleased with most all the physicians and nurses at Robert Packer Hospital, but Dr. Mwesige really deserves this compliment.
