He performed laser ablation on a lesion on my hippocampus and within weeks my brain felt the best it had in years and seizure 103 days as of this rating.

I was very disappointed. My referral and my call to speak to nurse explained exactly what I was being sent to see dr with. I waited 4 months for appointment. Then then pay 160$ to see dr. Wait in waiting room for hours and hours. Saw nurse. Then a nurse Practitioner and a student to then see dr for less then 10 minutes to find out I was being referred because even though dr Neimat can do this surgery he doesn’t do them any more. Had someone just read my referral. Or listened when speaking to me the three times a week when I would call to see if there was a cancellation then maybe I would have been able to get this procedure done before the year ended and a new 7500$ co pay went into effect. This drs office only cares about their time and money not my money or time. Let alone the fact I sat in pain under meds for months. Supposedly the dr had to review my file in order for me to even get an appointment to see him. If he did this then he failed me as much as the office did.

I liked Dr. Niemot and trusted him - he did a great job on my DBS surgery for Parkinson's Disease. I have recommended him to numerous Parkinson's patients and would do so again. My only complaint, however, is that I live 2 hours drive away from the hospital where I had my surgery and, when I returned for my follow up visit, Dr. Niemot was "out of town," and I was seen by an LPN. Not cool. I would gladly have rescheduled the appointment--had he bothered to contact me--because I had several questions only he could answer but, he failed to do me the courtesy of re-scheduling the appointment ahead of time. I never saw Dr. Niemot again, but I did leave a hand written message on the white board in his office asking him to at least call me. He never did. I am, therefore, giving an overall review of three stars because, I feel follow up is as critical as any other aspect of surgery. Clearly, Dr. Niemot does not.

The spasm immediately released after surgery. The doctor spoke very clearly and I understood him. He made me feel comfortable. I wish I would have gone to him a lot sooner. The staff was excellent and took very good care of me.

He is an excellent doctor with wonderful bedside manner and is never in a hurry. You can tell that he truly cares about what is going on and how you feel.I would recommend him and Vanderbilt to anyone they are all wonderful : )

Simply the best doctor. He saved my sons life and we are forever grateful for his amazing work. We need more surgeons like him.

Kindly treated by staff, environment pleasing, waited only a short time before seeing the doctor and he was overwhelmingly helpful for my situation. For 20+ years I have been medicated for the TN but they lost their usefulness and others added was not helping. Researched for a good doctor and Dr Neimat was the one. I have been completely pain free for over a year after having a Balloon Compression. He listened, asked questions and let me make a choice based on information he gave me.

Very caring and professional Dr/Surgeon! Immediate office staff is very professional however several of the nursing staff have much room for improvement with their people skills and ability to show some level of compassion..We would highly recommend Dr Neimat!

I had a scheduled appt with Dr. Neimat a few months ago. He walked in the room during our first (and only) appt and told me he had a meeting to attend but wanted to know what was going on. He made me feel very rushed to explain my symptoms and I felt as if he was uninterested in what I had to say. After sending me for x-rays, I had to phone the office several times over the course of two weeks to finally get results. I realize he is probably a very busy doctor, but I was not happy with this experience. His office staff was very cordial and professional.

I went to see Dr, Neimat a little over a year and a half ago about my Trigeminal Neuralgia. He was very open and forthcoming about everything! I decided to have my surgery, and they took wonderful care of me as did he. I know he has to be a very busy man, but he never makes you feel rushed, or there's some place else he'd rather be. He's very caring and treats his patients with such. He's an outstanding doctor and I would recommend him to anyone!
