Was rude and unprofessional. Yelled at me most of the time and said he didnt know why i was there. Made me out to be crazy in his notes and making things up. Called to have a different doctor see me.

We transferred to Dr. Oropella, for MS treatment. Just got back from appointment. To my disbelief, he sent his nurse in, who told us the doctor was not comfortable using the medicine I had been on. We asked to see the doctor in person, and he refused, saying it was a waste of our time. Cannot believe any doctor would treat a patient that way. Avoid him at all costs.

He has been my doctor for 4 or 5 years, but I didn't really start paying much attention to his demeanor the last 1.5 - 2 years after he started to become frustrated and irritated with me because he didn’t seem to like that I told him certain treatments didn’t work for me, and asked for what I KNOW WORKS FOR ME. He told me to ask my family doctor or another doctor to help me. Dr. Oropilla DOES NOT LISTEN! He also has a bad habit of violating HIPAA laws – telling other patients’ business and diagnosis and talking negatively about other doctors and how they “practice”. He tries to force medication on you even when you tell him you cannot afford it. He told me a story about a doctor building homes from prescribing certain medications simply because he did not want to prescribe me a medication THAT I KNOW FOR SURE WORKED TO SETTLE MY MIGRAINES. He also has a bad habit of telling people how they feel or what problems or symptoms THEY ARE NOT experiencing. He has refused to help me get… reasonable accommodations at my job. He told me if he was my employer that he would suggest I be put on disability if my issues are that bad that I have to alter my work area. He seems to take notes but when I get the patient summary, I see a change if my diagnosis or what we discussed. Some of us pay copays of $25, $30, or $40 a visit only to sit in a room where we won’t be heard and fed a bunch of crap. This is so unprofessional and unbecoming of a doctor – someone who is supposed to care and help our headaches get better or help us be able to live with our disabling illness. I'm sure there is a lot more I can type, but I will just say this - I only stayed with him so long because I was familiar and didn't want to go through the process of finding another neurologist, but he is NOT a good doctor.

This DR discusses other patient's problems, other doctors perceived issues, and asks personal questions irrelevant to the exam. Also provides too much personal information that causes uncomfortable and unprofessional patient/doctor interactions. Diagnosis changes from visit to visit and then indirectly tells you that you need a therapist. He also said many other unprofessional things that made my treatment worse. Luckily other doctors stepped in before his damage in both treatment and verbal attack could cause long term issues. Of course, he blames everyone else for the treatments failures.

This dr is crazy. I found out 3 other patients diagnoses including the patient before that was a cashier at kroger and the dr told us she was retarded and another patient that day was bipolar. Who does that? Privacy laws?? He put down every dr I previously seen and said that they weren't as good of a dr as he was... but left with no answers.
