Dr. Joseph Whitfield Poitier JR., MD

I took my 16 y/o son to see the “doctor,” he was referred by his counselor at the times. It was the worst experience that a mother can go through when we saw him. Right in front of my son he told me that he’s going to commit suicidal as his father did, because I didn’t want him to take that medications that he was prescribing to him. I wish I would have the strength to accuse him through the Board of Psychiatrists. He’s unethical, bad professional conduct. I will not recommend any parents to take their kids to the low person.

I been coming to his office for 7 years he is a great doctor

Dr. Poitier is up on the best treatments for those with major depressive disorder, aka, depressions. He will work with you if you have financial obstacles to treatment or are uninsured. He is well-mannered and always respectful. He is dedicated more toward helping people than to the almighty dollar. His staff is great, sweet, helpful and courteous. They work with you to get appointments that meet your time needs. Due to his popularity with patients and the doctor’s willingness to squeeze you in when you need to see him, there can be times when the office is crowded. You might have wait time if you come during these particular times. If you don’t want to wait, speak with the staff and they will give you an appointment for a time that is less busy.

Dr. Poiter is very busy because he has so many faithful patients. I have been a challenge for him but he keeps helping me through it all. 5 star Doctor

As busy as this doctor is he really does care, and will do his best to help all patients.

Dr Poitier provided the correct treatment for excellent results, which is frequently untrue is psychiatry. We live in California now. From the perspective of treatment, for us, this is a significant tragedy.
