Dr. Joseph Warren Prows, MD

Dr . Prows is a great doctor. He iskind, patient, interested, and really follows through. He is intelligent and very funny. A great listener. he takes my comments seriously and discusses treatmens with me.He is the best!

In my experience Dr. Prows listens, takes more time with patients than any other doctors I have ever visited, and is very thoughtful and smart. He seemed to genuinely want to understand my history and role in the community, and always asks about how the rest of my family is doing.

Dr. Prowes has horrible bedside manner, he is not kind or considerate of feelings. I’m not even sure why he is a Dr. I have been complaining about my back hurting since a car accident a couple years ago and all he wants to do is mask the pain and not find out what is happening. He told me to take Bayer Back and Body and Aleve, stating that he knows it is a contraindication with my warfarin, and will considerably thin my blood. Because he has horrible bedside manner he isn’t friendly and talks down to me. He told my daughter and myself, I know you’re here to talk about your back pain and the cold you have, so since you don’t want to talk about blood sugar, I don’t care about it. Instead of trying to help me with my insulin and high numbers, he told the diabetes nurse, to put me in hospice, because I’m going to die anyway. My daughter has told him he is not allowed to speak to me without the patient advocate or my daughter in the room. After saying he didn’t care and I’m going to die and… he gives up on me, my daughter fired him.
