Dr. Joseph Henry Puente, MD

After waiting way past your appointment time, he finally comes into the exam room, sit down with his computer and types. His conversation is practically nil. He has never taken time to get to know me as a person or to find out any details of my past and/or present medical history. He only addresses the single issue you stated when making the appointment, any other health concerns are brushed off. He does not seem to be at all interested in treating the whole person but is super quick to refer you to numerous specialists, even before discussing the reason or if it really necessary. It is next to impossible to get a complete/comprehensive, understandable explanation of tests or anything. He never answers return calls personally, you just have to play back and forth with the nurse who goes to him and back to you on and on and on. Neither he nor his office calls you with test results; he says that you have to call the office - then it's the back and forth thing again. He just… wants to get your money and get you out as quickly as possible

Great bedside manner and listens well.
