Experience in novel approaches.

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Sabik..He came off as cold and very insensitive to me as well as my family members. I was fully prepped by the staff for surgery only to be told that surgery would not be an option. (12 hours prior to my surgery date). After being fully prepped by anesthesiologist, given prescriptions and instructions on what to do on and after surgery to be told by Dr. Sabik that surgery would not be an option. He gave me five minutes of his time then bolted out of the room and left me and my family in tears and shock. Very insensitive...He could have told me two days before surgery directly after my Heart Cath..that surgery was not an option for me. My family was greatly disappointed in him and we feel he does not come close to his reputation...

I was seventy years old when Dr. Sabik replaced my aortic valve (that was four years ago). When my cardiologist at Mayo Clinic did an ultrasound scan of my heart, he said I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Dr. Sabik is certainly one of the best if not the best.

I was referred to Dr Sabik for aortic valve replacement and coronary artery bypass. A top notch staff which handled what turned out to be a very complicated case,

TWO YEARS AGO I NEARLY DIED OF HEART FAILURE,NO WARNINGS ETC. I CAME TO THE CLEV.CLINIC BECAUSE I HAD BEEN THERE WITH FAMILY MEMBERS BEFORE AND HAD ALL GOOD EXPERIENCES.DR.SABIK OPERATED ON ME,AND MY HEART HAS IMPROVED DRAMITICALLY AND NO SIGNS OF HEART FAILURE. I HAVE MY LIMITATIONS BUT I CAN DO ANYHTING I WANT,ANYTIME I WANT. IAM ALIVE TODAY BECAUSE OF DR SABIK AND THE CLINIC. AFTER SURGERY HE WAS IN THE RECOVERY ROOM FOR HOURS CHECKING ON PEOPLE,AND I SEEN HIM THE DAY I WENT HOME ALSO. IAM TOLD DR.SABIK IS NICK NAMED THE KING BY EMPLOYEES AT THE CLINIC,I WOULD AGREE WITH THAT TERM,HE IS THE KING OF SURGERY. I APPRECIATE EVERY DAY IAM ON THIS GREAT EARTH,AND ITS CERTAINLY BECAUSE OF HIM.

Might be a good surgeon, but you will never see this surgeon except for the first appointment before the surgery. Three other people on the floor who had surgery by him never saw him either. You will not see him in follow up either.

Referred to Dr. Ssbik for mitral valve repair involving serious complications. Outstanding surgeon! Cleveland Clinic equally outstanding eferred me to Cleveland Clinic due to a serious mitral valve leak with unusual complications. Dr. Sabik's surgical repair was excellent. Entire experience and Cleveland Clinic were outstanding

Excellent Doctor. Comforting bedside manner. Courteous and helpful staff.

If you need surgery and he has the time, you won't find a better surgeon!
