Dr. Joseph Bolanan Salenga, MD

I had the worst night at the hospital because of this doctor. I have sickle cell disease and had to go to the ER. The ER department was amazing and the doctor there was fantastic. However, when it came time for me to be admitted, I was placed in the care of Dr. Salenga's team. The ER doctor had already informed me that she would talk to Dr. Salenga about my care, and I spoke with both him and his resident, explaining the orders I needed for that night. To my disbelief, when I arrived in my admission room, there were no orders at all. The nurse called the team and was told that they would not charge or add anything to my chart. I spent most of the night crying because I was in so much pain. I wasn't even ordered a bag of fluids, which is one of the most important things I need during a crisis. I hope this team gets it together and starts listening to their patients.
