Dr. Joseph A Sassano, DO

I can assure you that if your looking for a physician that cares ; than look no further You will get quality time with all your concerns answered and taken care of . I have finally found a physician that will care about you instead of your hard earned money . I feel blessed to have found Dr Joe !

We started going to Dr. Sassano years ago when he was in the building nextdoor. Bath then, it was a very small office with just he and one other Dr and a wonderful woman at the front desk. For the last several years each time we go we don't get to see Dr. Sassano but instead we see his physicians assistant. At one point the assistant diagnosed my husband with pneumonia then called later and said they were mistaken. At another time, I went in and they ordered a blood test and then referred me to an ENT. I had to find the ENT on my own and set up the appointment - which was fine but then when I went to pick up the blood test the woman in the office (I think office manager) told me that I couldn't have it and that they would send it directly if they referred me. I had to tell them that I was left to find the ENT on my own and that I needed the blood work as I was on my way to the ENT. I had to strongly indicate that it was my medical data and I had a right to it. Then she told me… they needed to charge me $10 for the print out of the blood work. Since I had a $10 credit I said that was fine. I've never felt as though this office treats patients as their primary care. They've never recommended an annual exam or physical and as I get older I feel it is important to have a primary care physician that cares about a persons well being. I also believe that the office staff should be pleasant and respectful of patients. Therefore, I'm going to look for another physician in the area.

I went to Dr Sassano for a sore throat, and he did not even do a throat culture. He prescribed an antibiotic that was not effective. After a 10 day program of antibiotics, I felt no better. Then I went to a different Dr. who DID perform a throat culture and find out that I had strep throat. Why did Dr Sassano not do a throat culture?

The best thing about dr joe is that he makes you feel like you are important . Besides his expertise on all medical issues , his overall concern for your good health is top priority and his staff is top notch ! For me this is a no brainer when you search for the best family doctor in the area

Dr. Sassano and his staff are exceptional.They are professional, competent, courteous, friendly and the office runs like a well oiled machine. I have been a health professional for over forty years. This is the best medical care I have ever witnessed.

Dr. Sassano is an excellent Physician. My family has been blessed to have such a wonderful and caring Doctor. I have a background in Nursing and have never met a doctor, that is as thorough and compassionate as he is. His staff at his office are also excellent.

The doctor performed a Vein Ligation, but when he had asked for a CD with prior medical information that he could check, he lost the CD and I never got it back.

I found doctor Sassano by recommendation and was so fortunate I found him. I've never in my 73 years had a finer doctor....I can't recommend him any higher...if they had a rating at 100 I would give that to this wonderful doctor.....

I woke up in the middle of the night with acute pain in my foot and came here because they were open at 7 am. This is a family practice which also accommodates walk-ins. I was at the door when they opened, with 2 people ahead of me. I met with Dr. Sassano within 40 minutes, which I felt was prompt for a walk-in. Dr. Sassano diagnosed gout and prescribed appropriate medication. He and the staff were pleasant and compassionate. Scheduling a timely follow up appointment was difficult, however. He'd wanted to see me in a week, but there was nothing open until 14 days out.

I had to give him a disk with an MRI on it and he lost it.
