Yes, it’s true. Our daughter, 46, had been seeking treatment for excruciating back pain for six months until an MRI revealed a bony mass in her lower back pushing on her spinal cord almost to the breaking point. At that point Dr. Sherrill was called in and went to work. In his no nonsense way, he walked us through the necessary steps and risks. He warned us that paralysis was a real possibility but when she came out of surgery, she could wiggle her toes. We all celebrated that little milestone. However, 24 hours later, she could not move her legs or toes. On a Friday night when I’m sure his plans did not include another operation, Dr. Sherrill took her back into surgery. He said she might have had a stroke or perhaps it was a blood clot. If it was a stroke, she would be paralyzed. If it was a blood clot he would do his best to flush it out. The next morning, she could wiggle her toes again. And after a month in the hospital she was walking and ready to go home. She had lots… of people at Methodist Hospital giving her good care. But it was Dr. Sherrill who saved her life. And for that will be forever grateful.

My husband had 2 cervical discs replaced 10 days ago. Dr. Sherrill is very meticulous! My husband was discharged the day after surgery & was virtually pain free. He is able to drive already:) Excellent outcome!

I have rarely seen a doctor who has taken so much time with me or has given me clear information as Dr Sherrill had at my appointment. I've learned more in this one appointment with Dr Sherrill then in the last few doctors I've seen.

Dr Sherrill provided me with options and realistic expectations. My interaction with Dr Sherrill got better with each subsequent visit.

Dr. Sherrill performed back surgery on myself 10 yrs ago, my mother 9 yrs ago and my brother also. Excellent Dr and person
