My doctor started out with good news. No cast iron surgery needed. He unwrapped my leg and foot splint. When it was unwrapped a new sore on the top of my left foot from the wrap was revealed explaining the pain I had been having in that area, I also had a small cut from the initial fall that was open on the side, I have been diagnosed with diabetes. The skin was important to address rather than just switching to put on the boot. The dr slowed down and was responsive to my questions about my skin in the moment. He put antibacterial ointment, a gauze and bandaid on the side cut which I appreciated, He did not discuss how to address the skin issues with the boot until I asked. It was minimal which I took must indicate both wounds are very minor and are expected to heal quickly. He did not seem to be worried about how the boot can impact diabetic skin for my case. I noticed later the wounds were not documented. The alert and oriented times three carried forward from other Dr notes to his… note although he did not formally ask all the orientation questions which I could have easily answered to demonstrate I am alert and oriented times four,

He listened & asked questions.

I would wait for a much longer time than I did for an appointment with Dr. Shung. His expertise is unquestioned as far as I am concerned.

I love the whole staff. They're great.
