Very caring and considerate. Considers all functions of the human body as it applies to brain function. Listens well and has a great bed side manner.

I have been seeing Dr. Simpson for over two years. He is honest and he knows how to listen to his patients. He is there to care for his patients. He is an awesome, fantastic Doctor. I will feel pretty bad and wouldn't be able to replace him if he were to retire in the future.

A fantastic doctor! He stays up to date on all new treatments and is willing to try new things when traditional treatments don't help. He is a very caring doctor and will spend the time that is needed. This causes him to run late sometimes. I can't say enough good about him 5+ stars!

I have seen Dr. Simpson for approximately five (5) years for treatment of the residual effects of a traumatic brain injury (rec'd in 1974 while on active duty in the Army.)Within less than 30 days, Dr. Simpson's treatment of my condition was transformative; my productivity, sense of peace & well-being, and personal relationships were dramatically improved -- at home and in the workplace; and Dr. Simpson's continued care have resulted in an on-going, long-term victory. I am a 57 year old man with multiple health problems, and currently see over a dozen medical doctors on (at least) a semi-annual basis. No doctor that I have seen in my lifetime has surpassed Dr. Joseph Simpson's level of professional expertise, his extensive capacity to deal with complex healthcare issue, his thoroughness in addressing all relevant issues affecting his patients' well-being, and his consistent and unwaivering demonstration of personal concern for each patient's well-being. I've noted that some people… have complained about waiting in the patient area past their scheduled appointment time. They should realize: (1) A doctor's office is not a factory workplace -- to be dominated by the clock on the wall (or the volume of patients "processed"); (2) Effectively treating any human being may sometimes take a bit longer for any one individual than the time allocated for an average office visit; (3) It is the BEST doctors who take a few extra minutes to serve his patient's immediate needs; (4) As we are all patients awaiting our turn to see the doctor, we should be willing to accommodate the special needs of one of our "community" whose condition -- on that day -- requires some additional attention from our doctor; and (5) We should be thankful that the medical staff are willing to do all that is necessary to achieve favorable outcomes for OUR WELL-BEING.

He has made such a change in my life through his diagnosis and his prescription of medicine. He is excellent to deal with and very caring and has an "whole world" view. Gave me several ideas how to improve my life. Not just, let's look at your meds. He has a difficult time dealing with my insurance company and the follow through needed for my medicine though. It is hard to get his office to give you medicine. He should change offices as it is an unfriendly cold place that isn't user friendly. They have their receptionist calling people and they will talk on the phone while you stand there waiting. He is a ray of sunshine there. It is hard to get in to see him. He was rated one of San Antonio's best and I see why.
