Dr. Joseph Oliver L Slotkin

He always asks if I have any questions on a follow-up visit and I have them written down so I can remember what it was I was going to ask him. He takes the time to answer and explain whatever I ask. He has gotten me through some tough times with bronchitis and preventing pneumonia. I think he is a very good doctor.

Avoid 'Dr.' Slotkin at all costs! He barely went through the motions, spending barely two minutes in the room with us and sending us on our way without even telling us what his diagnosis was. We had to send the front desk back to get the information for us. Interestingly enough, he came up with a diagnosis of bronchitis and sinus infection by only listening to breathing through his stethoscope. He did not examine the back of the throat or nose, nor did he examine the sputum to determine whether the infection (if indeed it is an infection) is viral or bacterial, or even take any steps to rule out pneumonia. He also turned us down for a refill of prescription cough syrup, telling us to use over the counter Robotussin instead! If the over the counter drugs were working, we wouldn't have gone in to see this quack in the first place. Don't place your health in this guy's hands, they are not capable!
