Dr. Joseph Conradt Stegman, MD

Dr. Stegman has been instrumental in my daughter's progress. She has been his patient for the past 11+ years

Dr. Stegman is not very knowledgeable on the Subject of High-Functioning Aspergers Syndrome. It does not seem he does much research on the subject. He stated that many children with Aspergers does not act out or have feelings of hurting themselves. I have read many stories of children with Aspergers and have read otherwise. I was so frustrated with him. This seems to be a Dr. pushing pills with no other resources to contribute. Dr. Stegman was not listening to our child's needs and then let us leave his office upset without any remorse. He provided nothing just a referral to see a different doctor.

Been with Dr. Stegman for years, frustrated time and again, but it's gotten ridiculous lately so looking to change doctors. Our child has ADD and has been on medication... dosage was increased by Dr. Stegman because previous dosage was becoming ineffective. That was good, but when we called to get a new prescription as he was running out, Dr. Stegman denied that he'd increased the dosage (not recorded in his records) although the staff could show he prescribed the higher dosage. In phone calls, he was arrogant and prescribed lower dosage again. Takes a long time to get a refill prescription -- if we don't call a week in advance, our child will likely end up in school unmedicated. Very frustrating!

Dr Stegman spent a significant amount of time with us and I felt he was highly accurate. He has given us the most comprehensive diagnosis yet.
