Dr. Joseph Upton, MD

This happened about June 1999. I severed my middle finger with a skillsaw and you did an absolutely awesome job sir. I can't thank you enough. I forget that it's even been fixed.Thank You Dr. Tor Roberts

I suffered a compartment injury to my right arm while under the care of South Shore Hospital staff. Dr. Upton was recommended to me by Chestnut Hill doctors l hold in high regard. 3 procedures were performed by Dr. Upton that didn't help my situation. I continue to have pain and weakness in my right hand and right arm and continue to have no answers. I do not hold Dr. Upton responsible for my original injury. Dr. Upton did try to fix my hand and arm but to no success. My injury has ruined my career.

Dr Upton performed a very complicated surgery on our sons legs. There are very few surgeons in our country who could do it and obtain the results he did. He is truly world class at what he does.

Dr. Upton has been my doctor since I was a baby . He has performed life changing surgeries over the course of many years. It is because of Dr. Upton I can use my hands to do just about anything if I try hard enough. He has a great personality and sense of humor that I enjoy. I couldn't ever have a better doctor .

Dr. Upton is everything you could ask for in a surgeon. He did an amazing job closing a defect on my chin and lip. Available for follow up questions and not at all arrogant. Inspires confidence. Has a good sense of humor too! I feel lucky.

When I was 11 I was hit by a truck, it took all my skin and most of the muscle off my left foot. They were going to take it off but he saved it. I am now 43 and thank god for him every day. I have a full life with little problems now. He is a great doctor, and humble.

I find all of your rating criteria to be important but pale in comparison to the most important detail concerning this dr. You are choosing a specialist in his field who creates miracles daily with the reconstruction of hands, etc. there are no surgeons in the US who can come close to his expertise, skill and years and range of experience in this field. He is also extremely kind and patient and completely not intimidating! My personal miracle-worker!!!!

my daughter was born with 24 digits... we had no idea until she was born. dr. upton visited us in our room and was so relaxed and calming, we never had a doubt that we were in good hands. he did a fabulous job and our daughter looks fantastic! (she is 5 now!)

Bueno lo unico q puedo decir gracias a el mi hijo tiene vida a el le debo la salud d mi hijo yo no se q hubiera sido d mi vida sin el y la d mi hijo ya q en PR le iban a cortar el pie tan solo a sus 8 meses d nacido querian tomar esa decision la cual no sabia q este hombre tan maravilloso bregaba con este tipo d malformacion sin el les juro q no se q seria d mi hijo mi familia y amistades estan bien satisfechos con el trabajo q el ha hecho con mi hijo d verdad serai tantas cosas q el ha hecho en nuestras vidas q seria mucho por relatar...
