Dr. Joseph Walker, MD

Dr Walker is excellent as is his staff. I have had ESI’s twice but 3 years apart. He uses fluoroscopy guided injections which makes it much more accurate and safe. This last injection in 2022, was ?? pain free! I felt no pressure, pain or burning. He’s perfected his technique and I wouldn’t let anyone else do this procedure. He’s very responsive if something comes up. Staff are super quick answering anything. I’m very grateful to everyone associated with this excellent spinal physician. UCONN is very efficiently run.

I was called 1 day after my primary care doctor faxed over an MRI. I had an appointment quickly and a cortisone injection was scheduled a week later. No wait time at all. The shot and every single nurse, receptionist and this physiatrist, were just fabulous. I had been suffering for 3 months, and my right dominant arm was useless. The day after my injection, my right arm was back in working order. They even called the next day to see how I was doing. UCONN is the best hospital in CT., and I have been to Hartford, St Francis, Middlesex and St Vincent. I will never go anyplace else ever again. They do not hate people who are chronic pain patients. That is so refreshing.Thank you~

right man for the job. went to him for lower back pain. left the procedure with no more pain.

I wouldn't let anyone else put an injection in my back! What a wonderful person and skilled doctor!! What a relief to know that he's there for me. As I age, it's important to know that I have such a kind and caring person to keep me moving and out of pain.
