I cannot name any doctor in the city I'd rather be treated by than Dr. Welden. He is thorough and attentive and always makes time to listen, and listen well, to anything concerning me. He has been my doctor for many years, and I can't say enough about the good care I have enjoyed by being his patient.

I believe I get the very best care available from Dr Walden. Always thorough, professional, excellent listener.

Dr Weldon treated my husband for hip pain by prescribing Lortab for many years instead of referring him to an orthopedic surgeon. For over a decade, my husband was prescribed Lortab. When my husband went to see Dr Welden for chest pain, he was again given a prescription for more pain medication instead of being referred to his cardiologist to be checked. My husband had a long history of high blood pressure and heart attack, so it should have been a no-brainer. My husband was on the verge of another heart attack if I hadn’t pushed him to go to the cardiologist. The cardiologist placed three stents. Warning: Don’t take a doctor’s word as the gospel truth, if something doesn’t seem right, get another opinion.

Dr. Weldon has been treating my mother for over a decade-probably more like 2 decades. She is 81 and in very poor health. When she visits him with my father, he tells her that "she is paying for her life of addictions." This is what he tells an 81 year old woman who is suffering with frequent UTIs, non-stop diarrhea, hallucinations and complete and sudden loss of bladder control . Throws some antibiotics her way and that's it. When she is admitted to the hospital, he does not stop by, he even walked by all of us in emergency waiting to be seen, my mother slumped over in pain. First of all, my mother never drank enough to physically hurt her body. 3 glasses of wine put her under the table (did) -she has not had access to 'addictive substances for a long time now. I have no addictions but have many of the digestive disorders that my mother has as well. Secondly, even IF all her health problems were related to her past drinking, THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT YOUR PATIENT, EVER. Your job,… as a physician is to treat your patient regardless of how they came to their illness, without judgement. He even told my father once that he would drop my Mother as a patient if she did not stop drinking. Why my parents kept going to him has to do with the fact that they do not like change. But this time, we are kicking him to the curb, my sisters, brother and I and my Dad. He does not care what happens to her and I am sure he will be quite happy to not see her anymore. My sweet parents' loyalty is thusly rewarded. She called in a month ago about a bad UTI and he made her wait 5 days to get medication!! Unbelievable! Now she is in the hospital suffering from a severe UTI and possible e.coli or C. difficile infection from all the lame antibiotics and poor diagnoses from Dr. Weldon.He is a man with a very sick and twisted soul. I cannot wait to never hear his name again.
