Dr. Joseph Lawson Williams, DO

Joseph Williams is always late, the appointment is delayed several times and I was waiting for over an hour for him to enter the office. The charges made by his office are not always correct, I have already been charged per consultation without even being in Michigan at the time. To get a simple insulin prescription, you have to make an appointment, if not send the prescription to the pharmacy. It's about business, not the patient's well-being. I needed my medical record for immigration purposes. I emailed, phoned and went to the office in person and filled out the form. Until the present date (6 months) they still haven't sent me. Now I run the risk of having my green card application denied because of your negligence and incompetence. This is my recommendation: STAY OU THERE!

i've been seeing Dr. Williams for 3 yrs now. He actually LISTENS to me and takes my opinions / questions / concerns seriously.

I have been going to see Dr. Williams for almost a year now. He was recommended and was greatful for a wonderful dr, who spent time with me and has compassion, kind and caring. At first I loved his office staff but as time went I found that they are incompetent, They don't know anything about simple answers to insurance which even though they have a billing company, it is the office responsibility to be able to answer simple questions, they were going to bill for a visit with the dr when the dr decided he couldn't see me at the time I was at the office which is fraud. They faxed personal information to a wrong number when I was standing right there and she wrote the number down as I gave it to her 3 times, because I have a degree in billing and have worked in the medical field for 17 years, I am really careful with HIPPA. So of course when I found out the paperwork didn't make where it went and I questioned she checked my chart and read the number, found that she had written down… wrong even though I stood right there and gave it to her 3 times when I told her that great someone now has my personal info they just said "well hopefully whoever received it just shredded it. I was so upset I wanted to scream. Plus they don't have a office manager. Dr. runs the office. A dr with a busy practice can't run the general office and see patients, it just doesn't work. So after struggling many times with prescriptions not being called in to my pharmacy, insurance issues and breech of HIPPA, I found a new primary care who's office is set up and running the way a medical practice should be and believe me I check it out first. He needs staff who is updated on medical guidelines and have experience. I realize mistakes happen but to many issues in this office has me going somewhere else. My life is in the drs,. and office hands!!!!

I waited another 1.5 hours after being put in a room! Finally Doc Williams came! He is so caring and spent so much time with me. I was excited to have found this type of doctor. I was there for a simple physical exam for my insurance that should have been free, but was charged a copay. This was given back when I reminded them that this was free. I then asked them to fax the test from to my insurance when the results were in. I was on a business trip and they called to say they forgot to write down my blood pressure. They then started pressuring me on why I had not scheduled my other planned visits. I told them I was in the middle of a meeting on a business trip and could not do this now ... please fax in the form with an estimate on what the blood pressure was - I needed this in. After many calls and crying that my mother had just died and I now could not come in due to that, someone said it was done. (The only nice one.) But, either it was not done or the insurance did not accept it… because of the missing data! I love this doctor, but just think that I can not deal with people not doing their job (writing down important info), trying to pressure you into things, lack of compassion and plain rude controlling idiots! What a shame. (This also will cost me over $400 since I did not get the test into the insurance!)

Great Doctor!His office staff need to all be fired!

I was Dr. Williams first patient and have to say he was a great Doctor and still wish he was my Doctor.Had problems with his billing staff and even though I liked Dr. William ALOT, I couldn't take the calls for payment on a bill that was paid. I wish Dr. Williams all the best in the world. (And hope he's using someone else for billing now)

I moved to another state, still trying to find a doctor like Joseph Williams
