Spent hardly any time investigating my medical condition to come up with an accurate diagnosis and terrible bedside manner. Acted like he did not care about me.

Dr Zitar use to be a great doctor until recently. He doesnt spend adequate time during the past appointments I've had. He is literally in and out in 5 minutes. Such poor professionalism and bed side manners. The office in general has been deteriorating, the staff is not the same friendly welcoming staff anymore. The friendliness given from scheduling appointments to being doomed by the ma is minimal. I usually see Dr Wong when Dr Zitar is unavailable which is often and now without any notice to his patients is no longer working at Desert Vista Medical Associates. Desert Vista is not looking into providing the best patient care. Highly dissatisfied!

Dr. Zitar is not the same doctor he used to be. I went in to get his opinion on the nature of some ongoing pain in my hip and shoulder sockets. He entered the room, examined my range of motion, checked for a couple tell-tail signs of major tissue damage, suggested PT, shook my hand, then left the room so fast that I was left dumbfounded wondering what had just happened. With no understanding of any sort of potential causes of the pain, and ZERO discussion regarding the pertinence of my daily activity/lifestyle, I left the office no better off, and clueless. Interestingly, when I called the office to schedule an appt for my high bp, I was informed 6 days later than Dr. Zitar had 'discharged' me from the practice with no rhyme or reason, despite my multiple inquiries. As a premed student and having shadowed/worked with numerous doctors and surgeons alike, Dr. Zitar, unfortunately, simply isn't the doctor he used to be. While there have been many changes in the healthcare industry… recently, their full effect were realized during my appointment with Dr. Zitar. I sincerely suggest you spend your time and money elsewhere.

As a patient of his for about 8 months he was a great doctor who believed in his patients. He was very trusting and asked questions to find the source of the problems. He never treated me like an addict, but as a person with treatable pain condition. Most doctors treat Chronic Pain patients based on there age and not the symptoms. I was fortunated to have him.But sad to say, I moved to Seattle and wish he was here to treat because the 85% of Doc here don't believe in chronic pain care due to opiates. And everyone is treated like a seeker instead of a person with a treatable comdition.

My husband and I had been with Dr. Zitar for about 1 year. He seemed to be very attentive & caring initially, but something changed in the past year. During my last visit he seemed distracted by personal issues. My husband's annual physical was cancelled and Desert Vista won't reschedule him. I called to schedule a follow-up visit for a chronic disease I'm battling and was told that the Dr. isn't taking appointments. What the heck!?!? He's our primary care physician, and no one at this facility notified us that he is apparently no longer in practice there. Not only is the office staff regularly rude and disinterested, but it appears that they're totally incompetant as well. If this fish stinks from the head down, the director of Desert Vista should be tossed out. As for Dr. Zitar...who knows???

I am a 62 yr. old male with several issues and diagnosis. Dr. Zitar is kind, empathetic and patient. Over the years having many medical issues Dr. Zitar is outstanding in every way. Nobody does it better!
