Dr. J. Palmer is an awesome doctor. She takes her time to make sure that all of her patients medical needs and concerns are well taken care of. She’s very friendly and genuine!!

Dr Palmer has incredible compassion and knowledge. Her upbeat personality and concern always makes me feel that I have made the right decision with my health, I recommend her to everyone I know

To me she is a excellent doctor. Very good to patients and staff. And will keep you in good sports. Love her. Most of my family has her as their doctor.

I have been a patient with her for years and nothing that I have read in the list of reviews is surprising. Yes, it is difficult to get an appointment. I am able to get through, but typically her schedule is so full that's where the difficulty comes. Never is she prompt. I try to get either first apptointment in the morning of after lunch. When I have the first appointment she strolls in a 1/2hr. late then of course spends 15-20mins. laughing with her staff. Comes in to the exam room and keeps her back to you until it's time for the actual examine then quick she's out the door. The staff.......what can one say about them. Depending on the day, it's like they failed a professionalism course in order to obtain employment with her, but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She's good when she cares her diagnosis are typically good (if you can get in when you're sick). Her bedside manner IS HORRIBLE. Never has she followed up with me. I'm unsure how to give half stars because that… what she would have gotten in the 1 start answers. The other doctors in this practice don't behave like her. Please be for warned the nurse Susan will argue you up and down (she's always right). If you are looking for a new Dr. don't start with her. I have been with her for so long.

DR Palmer is great! However its the office that is the problem! YOu can never get anyone on the phone!! Sometimes I have been on the line for over 10 minutes hearing a ring just to be disconnected. If your child is sick and you need advice you minus well take them to the hospital. There have been several times that I called with problems for my children and days went by before I received a phone call back. There have also been times that I was upset that I couldnt reach anyone and was basicly told off by the office staff. This Dr. is only good if you dont have any children and never need anything in a hurry! Oh they also wont fax ANYTHING for you such as shot records for your kids. If you need a refill on a prescription they actually want you to have the pharmacy fax a request to them in order to fill it. I have never heard of such a thing. What happened to the DR. just calling in your script for you. Pure laziness! If you have an appointment bring along some books or something to keep… you occupied because you will not be called until well after your appointment time. There have been times that I was still in the waiting room over an hour and a half passed my scheduled appointment time. Why even have appointments? Another down fall if you have children that you have to bring along!

While I was sitting in the waiting room, a man came in complaining that he's called numerous times trying to get his test results, but no one has called him back....that should have been my first clue, When I showed Dr. Palmer a wound on my foot, she actually turned away (as if in disgust) and said "oh, yes, it's infected." That was the beginning of a string of unprofessional, inept actions by her and her staff. First I had a similar problem to the man with getting my results from a blood test, and finally had to drive down there to get them, just like the man had done. When my infection was not healing after a round of antibiotics, Dr. Palmer did a culture, She took a long cotton swab and stabbed my infection so hard, I nearly jumped off the table. Then she said, "oh, yes, by the way, its going to hurt." She told me it would take a few days for the culture to grow to get the results. So after a few days, I tried week after week calling for the results. I left messages on the nurse's… voicemail as instructed. For 5 weeks no one returned my calls. Today I called the office 4 times. I was even told at 2pm that Dr. Palmer would call me right back. At 4:30 she still had not called me, so I called again, and was put on terminal hold. So again I drove over and demanded to see my results. Finally a nurse (I think?) told me it tested Positive for Staph. I asked to see the report from LabCorp. It showed that the report was made on 8/20/11 - over 5 weeks ago. When I asked the nurse why no one notified me, the nurse said, "Oh it could take weeks...even months...for them to fax over the results." Then she asked me, "Do you want more medicine?" I told her "I think that is something a doctor should tell me not for me to decide - right?" Then she asked if I wanted another appt. - haha! I don't think so!. when I got home, I called LabCorp to find out when they sent this fax. The tech told me that these results were uploaded to a medical online system on 8/20/11, and the doctor could have easily accessed them. That is the method this doctor ordered to retrieve information. They do not fax to this particular doctor. So, for five weeks they have not even tried to get these results for me despite all my phone calls and messages. I wish there was 0 stars - thats what they get from me!!

Dr Palmer's office call after my yearly physical to let me know what vitamins I needed to take, that is a very good sign of a Dr who carefully read my yearly physical report. Every appointment I have had with her so far she was very helpful in diagnosing my problem. I would recommend her. Just took a little bit longer in the waiting room, other wise she is very good.
