Dr. Joshua Collier Davis, MD

My husband was seen for a thumb injury. His thumb was cut open. The doctor didn’t identify himself. Dr Davis saw him briefly and said the bone and tendon were intact. The PA stitched it up and told him to see his primary for wound check in two days. I made him see a hand surgeon. The surgeon advised that the thumb would need to be reopened to assess the damage and to be sure the tendon was intact. He found the tendon was severed. He said without surgery my husband would have lost use of my thumb. My husband is an airline pilot and losing use of his thumb would have ended his career.

Very poor bedside manner, rude and unacceptable behavior towards a patient.

Although I received a bill of over 1,000.00 from this doctor I do not recall him at all. If he did provide any service it certainly wasn't memorable. There were 2 other younger staff members who were unprofessional and joking while treating me in the ER. I suppose they are part of The Bortolazzo Group along with Dr. Davis; however I have never been able to obtain their names from either Bortolazzo Group or Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. I would highly recommend doing whatever it takes to find another hospital/ER room and doctor group. As a whole, this combination was unprofessional, hurried, did not listen to me as to the symptoms or ask any questions about overall health. They are quick to run multiple tests for which they charge; not surprisingly none revealed any issues since they were not concerned with listening to what was my health status. All this along with charging $1000.00 for 'service'. No diagnosis, follow-up concern, or medical advice was given for the 'service' I… was billed. Very poor.

Terrible--was my ER doctor at Wellstar Kennestone. Left me waiting for 6 hours despite repeated requests to see doctor. Very disorganized and inefficient. Would absolutely avoid in the future.
