Dr. Abzug received his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Abzug completed his fellowship in hand surgery at Thomas Johnson University Medical College and the Philadelphia Hand Center. He completed a fellowship in pediatric upper extremity and pediatric orthopaedics at the Shriners Hospital for Children of Philadelphia and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Dr. Abzug has special interests in pediatric orthopaedics.
Dr. Abzug has completed specialty training in problems related to the entire pediatric upper extremity as well as fractures involving the whole body. He is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as part of his position at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
