Dr. Joshua J. Alexander

Dr. Alexander is a clown who only cares about himself and definitely not his patients. My son was born prematurely with multiple disabilities and Dr. Alexander refuses to refill his medications because he missed an appointment WHILE HE WAS A PATIENT AT UNC HOSPITAL. He has been a patient of Dr. Alexander for over 10 years and we have had to deal with Dr. Alexander's ego since day 1. My son is without medications because Dr. Alexander is more concerned with getting his $ from an appointment so Dr. Alexander punishes him by not prescribing his medications. Do NOT take any loved one to Dr. Alexander. He is a joke at best and he needs to be relieved of his responsibilities at UNC. Our community and patients deserve better than him.

Knows alot about orthopedics and treatment. Very good doctor!

Dr. Alexander is hands down the most attentive, patient, caring, knowledgeable doctor that we have ever seen. Our 4 yr old daughter has CP and has been seeing Dr. Alexander for over 2 years. We always look forward to our appts with him as he always teaches us something new about CP and every single recommendation that he has made has been spot on PERFECT!!! He takes his time at every appt to fully understand our daughter and gives so many ideas to make her life better. We are truly blessed to have found him and love working with him. He cares about his patients and families like no other doctor.

I have worked with small children with complicated disabilities for many years on a consultative basis performing developmental testing and neuro-developmental assessments. I have discussed with many, many primary care providers over the years of my recommendation to refer to Dr. Alexander for further evaluation. They are sometimes unaware of his program and are delighted to know of it. I have had only VERY POSITIVE feedback from families and physicians regarding the services Dr. Alexander has provided. They are so pleased to have an expert in the field provide a comprehensive evaluation of their child to include a multidisciplinary team approach. His reputation is one of providing superior medical care and we are fortunate in North Carolina to have someone with his expertise and compassion!!

From the beginning of us starting to see Sr. Alexander I have always asked for direct, honest assessments of my child's condition. He has always provided me with the answers (although sometimes hard to hear) in a kind, thoughtful manner understanding how hard it could be to hear about your child. I appreciate his approach with me and my child - talking to him and not just me - my child has slurred speech and it takes some time for him to get his thoughts out but Dr. alexander is patient and waits for him to answer.

I really enjoyed Dr. Alexanders positive outlook after our daughter was diagnosed with spina bifida. He took the time to explain not only where current medicine is with treatments but were they may be in the next ten years.

I especially appreciate Dr. Alexander's communication in sharing topics of interest with others and his holistic approach to serving children and their families.

Dr Alexander is a true gem. My son Will has been a patient in his CP clinic for more than 5 years. Given the nature of his job, we sometimes have to talk about difficult things pertaining to Will's treatment. There is no physician I feel more comfortable having these conversations with. I feel as though I can ask him anything and he will provide honest, well thought out responses. He is down to earth and easy to talk to. He cares about Will, but also shows genuine concern for our entire family. He will always be my "go to doctor."

Dr. Alexander has been a part of my son's life for over 17 years. He has always given thoughtful attention to my son's needs and mine as well. When I had questions or concerns outside our office visit, he took the time to meet with me and discuss the issues at hand. There are not many pediatric rehab physicians that I am aware of, and Dr. Alexander is truly one of a kind.

Dr. Alexander. Is the main Docter that I trust when asking advice on testing,school,and therapy. He has been very helpful in helping us decide where to focus our energy with our son. He went above and beyond and wrote a letter to the school system supporting our son's mobility which was not clear when we started school and I am happy to say our son has surpassed what many believed he would do and what Dr. Alexander said was coming all the time. I trust him and highly recommend him.
