Dr. Joshua Ames Berlat, MD

I just saw this doc in the ER tonight for my son. I had just taken my son to the urgent care and based off of their evaluation they highly recommended that I take him to the ER. When I saw this doctor he treated me so rudely and made it seem like I was wasting his time. When I told him the urgent care told me to come there to have my son tested for RSV he snapped at me and told me that could have been done at the urgent care. Then when I told him my son hasn’t been eating since Monday he sarcastically quipped back with “oh he hasn’t had a single thing to eat since Monday?” There was no single ounce of concern or anything just wanted to make me feel like I was a unintelligent mother bringing my kid in unnecessarily.

This doctor has zero bedside manner and was very condescending and rude. He acted as if I wasted his time. He insulted my intelligence. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I saw this Dr. in the ER, at the Boise St Luke’s location. He had absolutely zero bedside manner. He was not kind, told me what I already knew as if he was belittling my intelligence because I was in pain and clearly waisting his time. The ER was not busy. I would never recommend him to anyone needing an ounce of compassion.
