Dr. Joshua A Brink

My child had seen him to have a filling done after another dentist there said she had a cavity. When we were there for the appointment he said there was another tooth it was even worse than the one we went in there for and said she needed to get that one filled as well. I thought it extremely odd that another dentist had looked at my child just a few weeks earlier for a check up and only saw one feeling needed and now he sees another tooth that’s even worse? He then wanted to pull one of my child’s teeth and when I said will let the baby tooth come out on its own he got very rude and impatient started just mumbling and really pressuring me saying if I didn’t get on the schedule and get it approved to be pulled out if I had trouble I wouldn’t be able to come in it’s going to take over a month to be scheduled which is strange because I always was able to get a same day appointment with other dentist if needed. I don’t trust him he’s very condescending and very arrogant and rude you can… tell the staff is on edge around him and it’s totally different with the other dentist there. He is the owner of this practice so I don’t know if he is just trying to make extra money to pay off bills for decorating a new office I don’t know it’s just very very odd and I will never go back to him again I hate supporting his office but I do love one of the other dentist that works there.

As a black single mother, I often wondered why I rarely saw other families of color. Now I know why. They discharge black or brown families for supposed 'cancellations' but white families may be only fined for cancellations. If your child is not white, be warned and find a new dentist.

Business office staff is extremely rude and condescending toward the client.

Very unhappy with Dr Josh. Very rude suggests procedures that are unnecessary when a second opinion was sought it was confirmed Dr Josh was wrong . Not happy he was willing to put my toddler through something that wasn't needed to line his pockets.

STAY AWAY from this office. Recommends a lot of procedures that when getting second and then a third opinion no work was needed. Very rude if you quesn him. Pushes you and bullies to try and get you to agree to extensive work on very small toddlers. Yelled at my two year old for getting crumbs on his carpet and followed her around picking up imaginary crumbs. Very rude.

My children had been seeing Dr Brink since 15 months of age. When my oldest (now 8) was 4 we had a very bad experience. She was crying and upset ,which was not unusual for any kind of Dr. visits, and Dr. Brink became impatient and scolded her for crying. The way he spoke to her was unprofessional and totally unacceptable. I no longer take my children to him.

First the staff is very nice and I never had problems with Dr. Brink himself but I do not trust him. He also said my 2 children needed fillings that would cost over $50 each with my insurance. In the past my son had work done and I trusted Dr. Brink but this time it seemed strange that both of my kids needed multiple fillings in about 2 weeks or so. Like others I sought out a second opinion and was told that my kids did not have any cavities. The new dentist even went back to look after I told him I was told they needed fillings and he didn't find anything. I will not go back to Dr. Brink and now share stories like so many others....

My child had been going to Dr. Brink for 3 years for routine check-ups/cleaning. The staff had always been great and my child liked going. The most recent visit was told my child have 5 cavities that needed to be taken care of in the next couple of weeks. I had heard by others that he had recommended procedures that later were found out not to be needed when a second opinion was sought. So I was weary, so I took my child for a second opinion at another pediatric dentist and was told my child's teeth looked great and no cavities! Now finding out more and more of very similar stories. I am glad I trusted my gut and went with a second opinion.Never would I recommend this dentist to anyone unless you want your child to have unneeded procedures done or just want to give your money away.

I am not a very critical person, but this needs to be said. I agree that Dr. Brink was unprofessional. He recommended a great deal of work for my child. Concerned, I went for a second opinion. When that opinion was totally opposite from that of Dr. Brink, being concerned for my child, I sought a third opinion. Dr. Brink was wrong. I was also very concerned by his apporach to handling my fearful son. I understand anxious children are challenging, but pediatric dentists are supposed to be well trained for comforting such children. Instead, Dr. Brink seemed enraged with my child. He was very socially ackward. It was a strange experience. I noticed other people have has poor experiences with him, many very similar. There is only one site online where his ratings appear numerous and perfect and the general public cannot even leave ratings making it extremely suspicious. I think that is more of a reason to not trust this office.
