Dr. Joshua Colkmire is pleased to be able to offer beautiful smiles to his neighbors in the Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton areas.Â
Dr. Colkmire earned his dental degree from New York University, after earning bachelor's degrees from Lee University and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Sailfish Study Club.
Dr. Colkmire is commited to excellence with patient care and strives to give only the highest quality of dental treatment. Known for his gentleness, he helps to make fear of the dentist a thing of the past. Dr. Colkmire looks forward to serving you and working with you to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
When not at the office he enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and their two children. In his spare time, the doctor enjoys playing a variety of musical instruments as well as fishing and surfing.

I have spent many hours in dental office chairs in my lifetime and this is the best experience. Technology is cutting edge, procedures are explained and comfortable, no question is met with a frown. Dr Colkmire and his staff are professionals who also take the time to care about the patient.

Not only does he provide excellent dentistry and rest assured, he does. He is also there for me when the need arises.

Having had much dental work done in my lifetime, I can honestly say that I was lucky to find Dr. Colkmire when I moved to Sarasota. Of all the dentists I have had, he is by far the best!

Dr Colkmire did a fantastic job replacing my old crowns & veneers. My front teeth are now perfect! His concern for my comfort has always been a top priority. So happy to have found him. I have highly recommended Dr Colkmire to my new neighbors and friends.

Friendly and professional service at every visit. Both my wife and I have been clients for several years. There is never any pressure or attempt to "upsell" additional work or services. The entire staff genuinely cares about their clients.

Am having total replacement of all teeth through implants. Was initially very scared. The office put me at ease and now I'm well on the way to having a great smile for the first time in30+ years. Very satisfied

Dr. Colkmire is one of the most professional and caring dentists I have seen. When he worked on me I felt absolutely at ease and no pain or discomfort. An exceptional dentist and staff. Would highly recommend him!

Dr. Colkmire was amazing! I have a horrible fear of going to the dentist and I can't believe how easy he made this for me. His staff was so kind and gentle. I was embarrassed about being afraid of the dentist, but they did nothing to make me feel bad or stupid about that. In fact, it was the opposite. They made me feel safe. And, the pain I was afraid I might have during the work...OMG, I didn't even feel it. Dr. Colkmire was really sensitive to my comfort and was extra sure that I wouldn't feel any of it. I appreciate everyone there for the way they treated me. I would recommend to anyone.
