Dr. Joshua Daniel Gustafson, MD

Dr. Joshua Gustafson is a thoracic surgeon who also practices general surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F E Hebert School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Miami Valley Hospital. With 17 years of clinical experience, Dr. Gustafson has developed expertise in complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.

Dr. Gustafson maintains hospital privileges at Miami Valley Hospital and practices in San Francisco, California and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His clinical focus includes treating patients with aortic valve stenosis, claudication, and peripheral artery disease. He performs advanced cardiac procedures including transcatheter aortic valve implantation and traditional aortic valve replacement surgery. Dr. Gustafson also utilizes chest fluoroscopy to guide diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for his patients.
