Dr. Joshua Ezekiel Melson, MD

This Doctor now practices at Banner Health in Tucson Az. Has not responded for prescription refill request in 10 days. Does not listen to patient. I feel he's way too busy to treat me. Never reviewed test results with me from 6 months ago. Time for new Doc. Avoid Him

Although Dr. Joshua Melson has only been practicing medicine for about 6 years, he acts as if he invented the field of gastroenterology. His demeanor was smug, uncaring and dismissive. Almost every time I tried to ask a question he interrupted me, and usually didn't get around to answering it completely. I'm not sure if Dr. Nelson just didn't know what my diagnosis was or if he was just being defensive because I had done some reading prior to my appointments and that somehow offended him. Unfortunately, when I returned for a follow up appointment and for my test results, Dr. Melson was just as nonchalant and actually had me waiting for almost an hour! I would definitely tell anyone to avoid Dr. Joshua Nelson and his practice at all costs. P.S. I ended up finding another gastroenterologist in a different facility who diagnosed and helped me in short order and with the cordial bedside manner that one would expect.

left the appointment for 30 minutes to look information up, didn't have any sympathy, and had no urgency to help the situation.

He is an excellent physician who is caring and knowledgeable. Spends time with patients to answer all questions thoroughly.

Great physician, would recommend without any hesitation.
