Dr. Joshua York Menendez, MD

I highly recommend Dr. Menendez. He performed a lumbar fusion and decompressed a nerve and the procedure went very well. I have blood issue that needed to be considered before surgery and he was patient and listen to the recommendation of the hematologist and the results were fantastic!

Could not be more pleased with Dr. Menendez and the outcome of my surgery. Excellent care from his entire staff. Excellent outcome of my surgery.

A great staff. Facilities are nice. Dr Menendez has performed two cervical surgeries on me with great results. He is very personable and has a great bedside manner. Easy to communicate with. You want find a more skillful Neurosurgeon than Dr. Menendez.

Until I met Dr. Menendez and the nurse practitioner I had given up hope on ever having a decent quality of life. He was very thorough, thoughtful and explained every detail to me to help me understand. I can’t say enough about how they have took the time to listen to me… not hear me but LISTENED to me and most folks know that there’s not very many Doctors or medical professionals that do that anymore. I appreciate him and his staff for that.

Did my research and chose Dr Menendez. He seems very interested in my health and suggested ALIF surgery. Recently moved to Alabama. I was not familiar with the area where his office is located in Trussville. There was NO signage present to inform a new patient that he is located at this address. On the door to his office there is a sheet of paper with a female doctor's photo on it. Evidently, it is a shared office. I had to ask where to go. VERY inconvenient.

I have been using Dr. Menendez for a few years now and I have always found him to be very knowledgeable, thorough and caring. He had always spent as much time as I needed for questions and explanations. He is very thorough and I have had very good surgical results. He gets 5 stars from me!!

The staff is always helpful and kind up front in the reception area. Never have to wait long. Dr Menendez was very informative abt my condition. He spent time listening and answering to all my questions. The nurse was very helpful and very sweet! Dr advised me to get another block if I continue to have pain in rite leg. Continue to lose weight to help with pain. I told him I was happy with Dr Pitkanan in always hitting the rite spot with the block. He said I mite need another one as a booster. I told him I have an appt on Feb 10 for another shot. I also told him regarding my knee failing me sometimes. He knows abt my knee replacements and said to have that checked if it keeps up.Office was very nice and private. I never have any problems and this is a great group at St Vincent’s Hospital offices.

Dr. Menendez is a very professional doctor and really wants to get to the bottom of your pain and problems. I had TLIF BACK SURGERY 6 months ago, back is doing great but still have problems and pain in my sciatic nerve down my right leg. He is getting X-rays and MRI to get to the bottom of this problem. Very nice guy.
