Dr. Joshua H Namias, MD

This was my first & I'm not a spring chicken but I am when it comes to doctors , nurses, procedures, needles, & medicine . Not ever having surgery or any sedation I was very nervous. Doctor Joshua Namias ,his staff & all who I came in contact with at MGH Danvers were wonderful. I was very reluctant but everyone put me at ease...from the entrance to exiting the building. All were very caring & concerned . I would give them 10 stars. The facility is very relaxing & immaculate. Dr.Namias was very personable & bedside manner was very caring. The procedure was well tolerated & pain free. Thank you Dr.Namias Don't hesitate seeing him. Thumbs up to him & staff. Also I heard he likes lobster but never gets them from his nurse who's husband sets traps . So what's not to like about him ....lobster is also a favorite of mine...lol

Have seen him twice and he could care less about the patient. He wrote a prescription without asking descriptive questions and even rushed thru that! I have been suffering for a long time and he would not give me more than a few minutes to tell him my gastric issue(s). Would never go back to him again...

Not quite sure what that first reviewer is talking about. Dr. Namias is one of the best physicians I have seen. He was early (not typical of most doctors) and spent plenty of time with me. He listened to my complaints and addressed each one. I never felt rushed. He was very compassionate too. I had met him earlier when he diagnosed my spouse with colon cancer, and he has such a wonderful bedside manner.He did a thorough exam in addition to taking a full history. When I had a procedure performed by him, he made me very comfortable and at ease.I have referred many family and friends to him and they all thought he is a great clinician and kind person.His clinical skills are second to none.I would recommend him without any hesitation.

I just want to say that this doctor is very handsome and quite nice but as far as providing the most basic Gastro first visit exam for a patient with obvious current problems, this doctor badly failed. I am writing this because patients should be given the following in a gastro examination:A typical physical examination includes: Inspection (looking at the body) Palpation (feeling the body with hands) Auscultation (listening to sounds) Percussion (producing sounds)Current symptoms and concerns such as:Dysphagia: pain, regurgitation, burning etc.Abdonminal pain and discomfort: How is the patient describling it? Bowel FunctionComprehensive/system wide questions, such as:How is your appetite? Has it changed? Have you lost weight (yes, I lost 10 lbs in less than a month) and other related questions.Physical exam:Feel the stomach. Do you feel any masses doctor?Is there jaundice, anemia, any rashes in the THROAT?Dr. Joshua, as a physician, you ought to know what a true and… authentic physical gastro exam should include. Its not a matter of how much time you spend and merely listening but not comprehending, but building confidence about you in your patient by asking the RIGHT QUESTIONS AND PERFORMING THE RIGHT EXAMINATION.
