Dr. Joshua Isaacmarsha Nelson, MD

Dr. Joshua I Nelson was very friendly and helpful. I had a good time in the hospital and Not feeling too bad just because of him. He took care of us perfectly.

A few days ago a family member took me to the ER at The Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania on Spruce Street in Philadelphia. I had been experiencing excruciating pain for over a week and hoped the pain would eventually subside but it only progressed. Please note, I went to this same hospital some time ago and never experienced what I did during this visit. The physician, Nelson I. Joshua, was extremely rude and arrogant. He dominated the entire conservation, allowing me very little input. Seemingly, he was beside himself. Again, I was at this same hospital some time ago, so I know there was no excuse for his behavior; to say the least. This physician needs to learn to listen (which never happened) and not be so quick to jump to conclusions. I found myself correcting things he was assuming for some reason or another. He obviously had no concept of what I was experiencing (let alone why) and was oblivious to the severity of my condition; relying merely on assumptions and… inadequate treatment. The entire episode was seriously uncalled for and it left me worst off than I was prior to my arrival, which I never thought was possible by any stretch of the imagination. This is an excellent facility but, management needs to check this physician.
